POV: Jayda
Location: baby shower

"Stop stealing candy and sit down" I told Mari seeing him back at the treat table for the 5th time

"But I'm not playing" he told me and I just looked at him

He sucked his teeth and walked away

The games about to start and he been eating candy since we came here it's not even time to eat it yet

"Imma call y'all table numbers and y'all can take turns measuring her stomach" india said while reading her phone notes

I was sitting at my table with von waiting around for the first game to start

"Wait lemme see because Alyssa don't know how to measure" Brooklyn said while holding the string up wrapping it around my stomach

"Girl bye you saying that knowing imma win is crazy" latto said while laughing and Brooklyn flicked her off

"They too much" I laughed and I felt arms being wrapped around me and I looked back and saw von with string in his hand

"not you doing it too" I told him while smiling

"This for Toni he didn' t feel like walking up here" he told me and I just nodded while looking around and I saw him at a table with his best friend

Honestly this baby shower filled with people that just came in my life and been in my life since I don't have family

"You knew that was too big" india said while laughing at rubi string

"India stop stalling and say who the winner is" latto said and india smacked her teeth

"It's a tie between you and Toni" india said and Brooklyn smacked her teeth

I gave both of them a bag and sat around playing the rest of the games

"Get in line, Jayda you ready to eat" von mother asked me while holding a plate

I feel like I don't mention her a lot she just started coming around more

"Yess I'm starving" I told her while rubbing my stomach

"Where von go" durk asked me whole walking into the line

"He was grabbing the balloons" I told him and he nodded

When I got my plate I went back to the table waiting for him

"This food boutta hit" I heard him say and I looked up seeing him sitting down with a full plate

I ate mines while trying to tell him I'm having a girl

We finished eating and got handed the balloons so we could finally find out the gender

"Come on while it's still light out" I yelled out to everybody I'm ready to find out what I'm having

"Okay we doing a 10 second countdown " von mother said while holding a microphone

Toni was on my Swiss helping me pop my ballon and Mari was helping von

As soon I heard one we popped the ballon and I saw pink making me scream and start crying I been emotional my whole pregnancy

I just knew it was going to be a girl

I felt von pull me into a hug while I cried and Mari and Toni joined the hug too

I pulled away and wiped my face while going around getting hugs and congratulations

" durk can you help von put the blower in the car please" I asked durk when I seen him walking by

I'm not trying to wait till it's late and be stuck here cleaning up

"Yea I got you" he said while walking away

It was music playing but I was sitting down while eating another plate of food

Don't judge me it's the baby I swear

"Somebody help they fighting" I heard somebody yell and my parental instincts just kicked in and I felt like something was wrong

"Where my kids go " I asked one of vons friends and they pointed to the basketball court

I went down there with everybody following me and I saw Toni and his best friend fighting two other boys

I saw amari running ahead of us and I yelled at von to get him

When I made it down Mari was trying to fight von off and everybody else was tryna break them up

"Stop Mari calm down" I told him seeing him pushing von off of him trying to get loose

"Let me go I been waiting " Toni yelled while getting pushed back towards where we were set up and I walked over to make sure his friends was good since he our responsibility

We successfully got back to our set up and I got everybody wore on what happened and they said it was basically just a heated basketball game

The baby shower was definitely over this so I passed out the goodies I got made and we left going home

This is definitely a memorable night
