Well  let's start off simple, living with the Dursleys is the equivalent of living in hell, well some may say they preferred the latter. It all depends on who you ask, although if you asked either of the Potter twins that is the only answer you will receive. Unfortunately, after the deaths of their parents when they were mere babies, they were unwillingly forced into living with their aunt, uncle, and cousin, who were anything but pleased at having to take custody of the now orphans.

Amelia was the lucky one of the two twins, whereas Harry was always looked down on and was treated as an animal, incapable of feeling. She received the opposite behaviour, the Dursleys never shared the same distaste for the girl, she would be praised and complemented either on her intelligence or natural beauty. Whether this was because they knew she had a quick tongue and could easily make them slip up under the public eye, or maybe the thing that caused the unmistakable sliver of fear their eyes would attempt to hide behind an angry expression or snide comment. The fear was always there. Why? She didn't know.

Of course with Amelia being the kind of girl she is, she had always attempted to defend Harry against the cruel words of their so-called family. Though despite her efforts they never seemed to really stop.

Today was just like any other day, the bright blue sky hung above them, not a grey cloud in sight. Whilst the beaming sun cast a light golden glow that seemed to brighten everything around them.

As Amelia raised her glass of milk to her parted lips, Harry stumbled into the kitchen almost walking into the wall, his hooded eyes barely open. As if remembering he had a task, he sauntered around the oak table towards her and didn't stop until he was directly in front of her, almost knocking her glass to the floor.

"Sleep well brother?" Lia mused smugly, already knowing the answer.

Mumbling something inaudible, he begrudgingly thrusted his arm towards her, and there in the palm of his hand sat a letter, sealed with a red H below some sought of animal design.

'Here, lia' Harry whispered when she still hadn't taken her letter, too consumed in observing the pattern.

'Thank you' she replied, a ghost of a smile on her pink lips, placing the letter onto the table next to her now empty glass. Less than 30 seconds passed by before a shrill high pitched shout broke the calming silence.

'Harry has a letter!' Dudley, a rather large boy, screeched at the top of his lungs before snatching the letter from Harry's hands and passing it to their uncle who in return laughed loudly, almost as if he found the idea of Harry receiving a letter absurd.

'Give it back, that's mine' Harry protested, reaching for his letter.

'Who would possibly send you a letter?' Vernon questioned mockingly, not yet realising that Amelia had also been sent a letter. As it dawned on him who was the culprit of sending these letters his expression soon changed into one that resembled thunder, though his eyes conveyed everything he was truly feeling. Amusement, panic, and then finally anger. In his fury he lifted the delicate envelope, tearing it straight down the middle and then into halves, staring at his wife with an unreadable expression, his eyes going mad like a rabid dog about to enter a frenzy.

'Uncle that was Harry's letter' she rushed forwards, attempting to rekindle the torn paper, her own letter discarded on the table still.

'And what do you have?' he queried, his bead like eyes locked onto her envelope.

'I'm not sure', she replied flipping the letter over,'it's addressed to me'. Taking a closer look at the intricate design, she delved through all of her encounters with online shopping but wasn't successful. No bootique or website she had ever received packages from had a design like this, was it a logo maybe? Well whatever it was, it was unfimiliar. Her expression soon became one of utter confusion.

'Oh it's nothing, just junk mail' he said fakely, manoeuvring it from her grasp quickly, before disposing of it like he did harrys.

AN//

Right okay this took way longer then expected, in all honesty I forgot this book even existed. The parts I've written previously are in need of some desperate editing so I will continue to do so whenever I have time. The next part or so has already been written, though on paper. So it shouldn't be too long until the next chapter is posted. Lots of love x
