Chapter 6, part 2

Amelia's inquisitive eyes snapped to the door abruptly, seeing the same woman who she had seen previously in the Olivanders. Narcissa Malfoy.

'Narcissa' Hagrid stuttered in an almost frightened but respectful tone, causing Amelia and Harry to glance at him puzzledly, unanswered questions brewing in their young minds.

'Ah, Hagrid, long time no see. How are you?' The woman struggled not to smirk at his obvious fear, asking the question in an almost monotonous voice. Leaving Amelia to wonder if she actually cared for his well being or if it was just a formality.

'I'm good, I'm okay, just following Dumbledore's orders, the Potters here are off to Hogwarts' He made sure to not make eye contact as he glanced down at his bear - like hands. Opposingly, Narcissas icy blue eyes made sure to survey him from head to toe, almost scrutinizingly.

'This is Harry and Amelia Potter'

'Hello again, darling' As quickly as she had glanced at Hagrid, her eyes were now glued to Amelia, but unlike Hagrid, Lia didn't look away. She held her gaze with just as much fierceness until Narcissa's eyes finally softened after she snapped out of her trance like state.

'You've met?' Hagrid seemed alarmed at the idea, searching Amelia frantically for possible wounds or signs or harm. His head which was lowered moments before in an act of submission, was now bolt upright, with his eyes wide like a rabid dog.

'Yes Hagrid,' Amelia cocked her head, debating on entering the giant's mind. 'She's the nice woman i told you about, the one i met in Olivanders'

'You didnt happen to mention a name Lia, we could've spoken about this previously' Hagrid continued, sparing Narcissa a cautious glance every so often as if she was a wild beast ready to pounce.

'I didn't believe it to be necessary' Amelia answered simply, sharing an equally confused look with her twin, who had somehow managed to get himself wrapped in Madam Malkin's tape measure. Suppressing a giggle, Melia made her way over to Harry, slowly beginning to unwind him from the item, taking note of his sheepish smile and rosy red cheeks.

Sauntering back over to the adults who were now speaking in hushed tones, Amelia only managed to catch the end of their conversation.

'She will be ours Hagrid, and you think I'm dangerous now? Watch how dangerous i can become when somebody gets in the way of what i want'

The tension was so thick it could be cut with a knife, so after receiving a light nudge and a firm nod from her twin, she decided to delve into Hagrids mind.

Immediately Amelia took a small step back, Hagrids thoughts resembling a maze as they disappeared as quick as they came.

The Black sisters are dangerous

Got to stop them

Cant have her

Only a child

Thought after thought, Amelia could feel her headache increasing by the second, each of Hagrid's desires, queries and fears hitting her like the waves before a tsunami.

Thinking on her feet, Amelia quickly retracted from his whirlwind of a brain, looking up only to come face to face with Narcissas knowing smile. She knew. She knew what she'd just done, now the only thing left to do would be to see if she would tell Hagrid, who was currently fiddling with his fingers whilst struggling to string together a coherent sentence. Narcissa had obviously had the effect she had wanted as she now had a cat who had caught the canary smile.

Amelia found herself cocking her head to the side again. Who was Narcissa referring to? Who was 'she'? And why did it bother her so much?

Before she could ponder her thoughts, Narcissa abruptly brought a slim finger vertical to her cherry red lips, creating a shushing motion accompanied by a subtle wink that went unnoticed by everyone around them.
