(Amelia's POV)

She glanced at Harry confusedly as she checked her ticket, once, twice, thrice, nope, still the same. They were positioned in between platforms 9 and 10 but apparently had to get to platform 9 3⁄4, absolutely prepostrous.

This had to be some kind of cruel joke right? Leave the orphaned children at the station looking for a destination that doesn't exist?

'Well what do we do now?' Harry's perplexed expression matched hers as he glanced at the crowds of people around them, each one having a tsunami of thoughts she couldn't be bothered to read.

'That is a good question brother, one i do not have the answer to' she replied, scanning the strangers with disgust as they practically tripped over each other to get to their desired destinations.

'Excuse me?' Harry waltzed up to a man in uniform, his big green eyes glancing up at the adult who offered a hearty smile,'Do you know where platform 9 ¾ is?'

'Platform 9 ¾? There isn't a platform for 9 ¾ ,son.' The ticket man replied, almost regretfully as he saw Harry's disappointed expression.

'It's okay, thank you anyway,' Harry's shoulders visibly slumped as he dawdled into his sisters awaiting arms. 'We might as well leave then' His dejected voice reached her ears, muffled by his face being hidden in the crook of her neck.

Just as Amelia was about to agree, a flash of blonde and black hair flew past them, almost knocking them in the process.

'Watch where your-' The woman was abruptly cut off as she realised who was now standing before her,'Angel?'

'Hello Mrs Malfoy, pleasure to see you again.' Amelia greeted the woman in a polite tone, bearing a warm smile of perfectly white teeth.

'It's lovely to see you too, sweetheart.' Narcissa replied, giving her own beautiful smile that Amelia struggled not to swoon at, having to take a deep breath in order to collect herself.

'I take it by you still being here , Hagrid didn't actually explain to you how to get to the platform?' She raised an eyebrow in question, receiving a 'no miss' from Harry.

'Useless buffoon' She mumbled, taking Amelia's hand into her own 'Would you like me to show you the way?' She smiled, although Amelia could still see her distaste for Hagrid and made a mental note to ask her why later.

Harry began a stuttering mess and couldn't get a word out, leaving Amelia to answer for them, 'Yes that would be much appreciated Mrs Malfoy, if it's no trouble for you of course' Amelia replied almost stoyoticly, causing the older woman to frown at the obvious emotional barrier the young girl had. 'Of course it will be no issue for me at all, darling'

With her last comment, they were off on their way to Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry.

'Can I sit here?' A Brunette boy mumbled, his short curly hair sat in a mess atop his head as he glanced at her through half opened eyes.

'Of course' She offered him a reserved smile, glancing at the free seat opposite her, before returning to the book in her hand as if she was never disturbed.

'I'm Mathias, but my friends just call me Matt' The boy leaned back, running a hand through his tangled hair before glancing at her expectantly, something that made her almost sigh in disappointment.

'Okay Mathias, I'm Amelia' She flashed him a smile, almost regretting her decision as she saw his expression dampen slightly. With much reluctance, she folded the corner of her page, placing it on her lap before glancing at him.

'So Matt, what house do you believe you'll be in?' she offered a harmless question, hoping that if she humoured the boy he would leave her in peace. The boy instantly offered her a beaming smile, seeming to be overjoyed at the aspect of being asked something about himself.

'Well I believe I'll be in Slytherin' The boy smirked smugly, something that made her nearly grimace at. Honestly, what was it with these boys and their childishness? Why were they all so smug about it?

'Why is that?' she quirked a brow at the boy as she resisted the urge to roll her eyes, what was it about Slytherin?

'Because all purebloods go to Slytherin.'

Before she could question him, the loud horn of the train let them know they were arriving at Hogwarts.

'Mathias Greengrass' Professor McGonagall shouted, her glasses on the end of her nose as she read out the list of names from the long scroll.

Time seemed to stop before the hat made a decision.

SLYTHERIN! It hollered, Matt looked to be happy with its judgement as he sauntered over to the table full of welcoming snakes.

'Amelia Potter' Silence. Whispers. Amelia rolled her eyes as she plopped herself down on the chair, allowing them to place the dusty old hat onto her head. She had to physically force down any protest she desperately wanted to shout out, the number of diseases she could catch running through her mind before a voice made itself known.

( ANYTHING SAID WITH * IS THE HAT)

(ANYTHING SAID WITH - IS AMELIA)

*Hello*

-Hello?-

*You are sarcastic and very cunning, maybe Slytherin, but then again you are very bright and intelligent, you would go very far in Ravenclaw. What are your thoughts on Hufflepuff and Gryffindor?*

-Oh God please no-

*Hmm, it's going to have to be*

*Slytherin!*

Abrupt holers echoed around the grand hall as students began jumping around. One boy even shouted at the top of his lungs 'WE GOT A POTTER!'

Looking briefly at her twin, whos expression was dumbfounded as he played with his silverware animatedly, she glanced at the designated table as she began to approach, sliding in beside a brunette and blonde who had called her over.

'Hello, im Pansy Parkinson, it's lovely to meet you' the dark haired girl offered a warm smile as she lifted Amelia's hand to her lips, distributing a quick kiss as they locked eyes. Before Melia could even utter a word, she was quickly spun around, a short, but beautiful, blonde now in her line of sight. 'And i'm Daphne Greengrass' The girl seemed to smile from ear to ear, even more so when she caught Amelia off guard, pulling her in for a tight hug. 'We're going to be bestfriends' Daphne mumbled into the crook of her neck, smiling even more (if that was possible) as Mia began to slowly lean into the hug, her muscles going slack as she stopped fighting.

'It's a pleasure to meet the pair of you too, I'm sure we will get along splendidly' The raven haired girl flashed a smile, though before she could say much more her eyes slowly drifted to the teachers table. Two women in particular. One was of course Narcissa in all her glory, whilst the other she hadnt had the pleasure of meeting. Her dark curls laid atop her head in something that resembled a mess, and on anyone else she would turn her nose up at it, but not this time. Although it was a mess, it was a beautiful one at that, thick curls fell down to frame her face, highlighting her sharp jawline and facial structure. Everything about her screamed perfection, and Amelia was sure she was staring, thankful she wasn't caught in the act. The thought was gone as quick as it came, as almost black obsidian eyes met her chocolate brown ones, a subtle smirk on the older woman's face.
