Imani sat at the doctors office in shock. Her pregnancy test came back positive. And she was about 3 weeks into her pregnancy.
"I only been out of jail for a month, and I'm already fucking up," Imani said to her friends. They laughed.
"It's okay, I can't wait for my TT baby," Ebony said, rubbing Imani's back.
"Right, it's gone be so spoiled," Michaela said, sitting across from her.
"Why it gotta be a it?" Naomi asked, making Michaela look at her crazy.
"Cause we don't know the gender yet, what else do we call it?" Michaela asked.
"Ion even know, while I'm talking shit," Naomi laughed. Making Michaela laugh too.
"Can y'all shut the fuck up? I can't take this shit," Imani said, starting to cry.
"Baby, it's okay. We gone make sure our baby straight," Naomi said, pulling Imani to lay on her shoulder.
"I can't believe I did this shit," Imani cried, holding on to Naomi. She was so upset at herself, but thankful nonetheless.
"You didn't do it on your own, Adonis ass shoulda pulled out," Ebony said, standing up crossing her arms after wiping Imani's tears.
They four girls busted out laughing, which caused the mood to lighten.
"Let's go tell your baby daddy," Michaela said, grabbing Imani's hand. They then checked out & headed home.
When they got home, Naomi called Adonis & he was on his way. Imani could not stop crying.
"Don't stress out my baby," Naomi said, rubbing Imani's stomach.
"Ion even have a pudge yet, while you rubbing," Imani laughed, as they laid across her bed.
"It's still a baby in there tho," Naomi said, laying her head down on Imani's stomach. They conversed until Adonis came busting through the door.
"Don't be busting in my room like that," Imani snapped at him, causing him to confusedly scrunch up his face at her.
"Don't get dealt with," he said, smacking her butt. He laid down between the girls. Naomi laughed, causing him to laugh. Imani just glared, due to her hormones.
"Imani has something to tell you," Naomi said, while sitting up. Imani looked at her, tears brimming her eyes.
"I-," was the only thing she could get out before bursting into tears. Adonis quickly sat up, which caused Imani to get up off the bed.
"What's wrong? Y'all okay," he asked them both, Naomi nodded while Imani shook her head.
"I'm pregnant," Imani cried, hanging her head low. Adonis looked at her in shock.
"Imani," he said, before she cut him off.
"It's okay if you're not ready," she said, still hysterically crying. Adonis kneeled in front of her, pulling her towards him.
"Imani, stop crying and look at me," Adonis said, causing her to look down at him.
"It's okay Adonis, really," She said, trying to back away. That only caused him to pull her closer.
"I'd never leave you or my child, I love y'all too much. This shit is for life," He said, referring to her, Naomi, and their unborn child. He kissed her stomach, before hugging her waist and laying his head against her.
"Y'all making me cry," Naomi said, as her eyes watered. Adonis got up laughing, pulling Imani to the bed.
"I'm so in love with y'all," Adonis said, scooting to one side of the bed.
"I'd murder y'all before I let y'all leave me," Naomi said, laying on the other side of the bed.
"Rather be in jail than alone," Imani said, crawling between her lovers. Making them laugh.
"You next," Adonis said, looking at Naomi as she bucked her eyes.
"You need to apologize to me on your FUCKING KNEES," Naomi partially yelled the Tokyo Toni quote, causing Adonis to laugh. Which made Imani feel some type of way.
"Y'all can't never not laugh for five seconds," Imani rolled her eyes at them. They looked at her, holding back their laughs.
Naomi laughed 1st causing Adonis to laugh. Imani stared at them in disbelief, she tried not let her anger get the best of her.
"Goodnight," she lowly said, closing her eyes while facing the ceiling.
They stopped laughing, because of how calmly she said it. They knew they had pissed her off when she stayed calm.
"Imani," Adonis said. She stayed silent.
"Imani," Naomi said after him. She stayed silent.
"I know you're not mad for real," Adonis sat up, trying to watch her facial expressions. But all he saw was a blank face.
"Imani, I swear to G-," Naomi started to say, being cut off.
"What," was all she said.
They sat in silence, looking at each other and then back at her. She closed her eyes for the second time.
"Goodnight," she said again, turning to lay on her stomach.
They wrapped their arms around her, she just laid there with no response.
"I love you," Adonis said, to her and Naomi.
"I love youuu," Naomi said to them both, situating herself to go to sleep.
"I love y'all, goodnight," Imani said with a straight face, making Adonis look at her weird.
"Why so subtle," he asked, confused.
"What's wrong with being pregnant?" Imani asked, looking at Naomi.
"Nothing, I just don't want a baby right now. I didn't mean anything by it," Naomi said, kissing the side of Imani's face.
"I don't want a baby right now either," Imani said.
"Y'all don't want to be my baby mama's? That shit crazyyy," Adonis said, shaking his head. They laughed, causing him to laugh.
"I'd rather be your wife first," Naomi said, looking at them both.
"Understandable," he said, rubbing his beard. He got up and moved himself between the two girls.
"I just wanted y'all to be pregnant at the same time so we could have ghetto twins," he said dramatically, sighing as he did so.
They all laughed in sync.
