Chapter 6: The wind hits hard like a dragon

The day is calming as usual, Kai sipping his coffee silently with Stelle who is drinking her favorite chocolate milk, looking at Rafel, Rafael, Miko and Amaya who are arguing on who’s turn is it to use the console. “I’m going for a walk.” Kai informs Stelle as she respond with a nod. Kai walks to the exit of the base, turning back to look at the base one more time before leaving for a walk.

Kai walks through the dry desert, he grabs a chocolate bar that Rafel had given him. He eats the chocolate bar silently, there he heard a branch breaking behind him. He immediately puts the chocolate bar back in his pockets and grabs a small dagger that Ultra-Magnus has provided for him. Two vehicons emerge from the desert. One of them aim their blaster at Kai which Kai responded with throwing his dagger at the blaster, catching the vehicon off guard. He ran and takes his dagger and with a quick move, he stabs the vehicon right at it’s spark, deactivating it.

The other vehicon turns it’s arm into a blade and they began fighting viciously, not showing any sort of mercy to each other. The vehicon manage to land a few hits to Kai but Kai counters with many sharp hits hitting the vehicon, before finally taking the vehicon’s life away in it’s very eyes. Kai’s dagger is covered by energon and as such, he went to a lake near the desert and wash the energon off.One thing Kai didn’t realize is that he was watched very carefully by Megatron using a drone.

At the Decepticon Warship, “Why can’t any of you just kill this human!? He is just a human, a weakling! Yet none of you seem close to actually ending his life!” Megatron yelled at the scared vehicons.
The vehicons just saw through the drone that that human sliced through their kind with ease, without breaking even a single drop of sweat. “Predaking!” Megatron yelled at a predacon named Predaking, an ancient mechanical dragon that was just awoken from stasis a few days ago. “As you are a newer addition, you shall tear that boy to pieces, understood?” you are a newer addition, you shall tear that boy to pieces, understood?” Megatron ordered with a wicked grin. “Understood, Lord Megatron..” Predaking respond. Megatron’s wicked smile grew wider, “Don’t disappoint me.”

The scene cuts to Kai walking back to the base, as soon as he arrives back, the whole team’s attention turns to him. “Kai, where have you been?” Optimus Prime asks by which Kai respond simply, “on a walk.” Optimus Prime sighs and turns back to Ratchet who is detecting an energon signal.

“Optimus,” Ratchet begins and points towards the monitor. “An energon mine..” Optimus noticed. “Ratchet, open up the ground bridge! Autobots, transform and roll out!” Opimus Prime commands, followed by the team transforming and walking through the ground bridge. As the ground bridge closed, Kai feels a wave of uneasiness wash over him. He felt like something is wrong or at least off…

“Ratchet…” Kai said. “What is it now Kai? Can’t you see I’m doing my work?” Ratchet said as he turns around and see what Kai meant. “Oh my Primus..” Ratchet says as he saw Amaya, Rafel, Rafael, Kai, Stelle and Miko gone from the base. “Rafael, Jack, Rafel and Stelle are in a game store to buy video games, Stelle texted me.” Kai explains as he shows Ratchet the text message. “Amaya and Miko are most likely on the other side of the ground bridge.”

“Great, now I can’t even enjoy peace and quiet anymore once humans are in the base.” Ratchet comments in a sarcastic manner. “Ratchet, open up the ground bridge. I’m going.” Kai commands but Ratchet argues back, “No, you won’t. I’ll go.” “Ratchet, please just this once.” Kai begged. “No, you will stay here and protect the other kids once they arrived back.”

“Ratchet, the others need you. They won’t have a way to open up the ground bridge properly to not cause a disaster.” Kai talked back. This reminds Ratchet a lot about how Optimus Prime is, always stubborn to protect the people he cares for. Ratchet nods and opens up the ground bridge, letting Kai walk through before closing it.  “Good luck, Kai.” Ratchet whispers to himself.

The scene cuts as Kai is on the other side of the ground bridge. He looks around and saw Miko and Amaya hiding behind a giant rock. He ran quickly to approach them. “Get back to the base now!” Kai commands. “Oh come on, you’re no fun!” Miko complains. “How can we get back to the base when there’s a literal mechanical dragon!?” Amaya supports Miko. “Ugh..” Kai mutters quietly, but suddenly something, specifically a huge claw grabbed him and carries him to the sky, it was none other than a mechanical dragon, a predacon that Optimus Prime warned him about.

The predacon roared fiercely as he tries to take Kai as a hostage but Kai stab the predacon’s left wing hard enough to make it fall to the ground. In mid-air, the predaking wrap it’s claws around Kai harder, making Kai feels slight pain all around his body. Though Kai doesn’t give up. He stabs the predacon’s claw, hard enough to make it release him from his grip, but it makes Kai fall to the ground. In mid-air as Kai is falling, Bumblebee transformed mid-air while jumping and manages to rescue him.


Bumblebee beeps a few times but Kai didn’t understand him one bit. “Thanks Bee.” Kai said and got a few happy beeps in response from Bumblebee. They all then retreat from the energon mine as it was far too dangerous to fight a fierce predacon.

When they arrive back in the base, Optimus Prime looks at Kai with a disappointed look. “Look Optimus, I understand why you are disappointed but I just can’t let my friends get hurt.” Kai explains. “I understand Kai, you have shown much bravery when fighting that predacon. The predacon manages to knock me over and over a few times. But you handled him with bravery and managed to escape from him with bravery. You prove that size and species does not matter and I respect that highly.” Optimus Prime said with a proud expression with a nod of approval. He then continues, “You are truly a warrior.” That makes a small smile emerge from Kai’s face.
