XVIII

Flash back
A happy 14 years old Minyeon/Taesung runs around the corridor of the Kim Villa along with a 13 years old Heather tailing from behind. The giggles of the two were lingering through out the hallway as they both run around till Taesung decided to stop looked outside the window.

"How does high school feel like, Heather..?" She asked in a low voice as Heather approaches her from behind, hugging her in the process.

"Not as fun as you think, Taesungie"

"Haha in terms of academics, yes..it is stressful but paano naman yung socializing?"

"It's...okay" Heather whispers

Taesung then turned around to face Heather with a smile, she cupped the girl's face with her hand and rested her forehead with hers. 

"Heather...I love you" Taesung confessed in a soft voice 

Heather's eyes softened as tears then began to form in her eyes. She then hugged Taesung, gripping unto her sweater. It was the 3rd of December, the snow outside were pouring as people play on the snow. A 13 years old Izo was playing with his sister Izumi alongside with Jiyeon sitting on the side of the street, watching the two play.

Heather was sobbing to the point that Taesung's shoulder was beginning to get wet, Taesung was confused on what's happening.

"Ba't ka umiiyak?" She asked as she wiped the girl's tears 

"Taesung...I-...I'm leaving Korea soon, I'll be staying with my grandmother. I don't know when I'll be coming back."

Taesung was taken aback, although she was determined to wait. Her surprised look was then replaced with a softened smile, she hugged the girl once again.

"Then I'll wait for you...or I'll come and find you. I promise!"

"..Taesungie, we both know your father is paranoid of you going outside the villa."

"W-well...hahanap ako ng paraan!" Taesung smiled once again as Heather sighed 

"..sige, I'll wait for you ha?" Heather asked as Taesung nodded in determination

"Promise"

3 years passed after Taesung's last conversation with Heather, she was getting impatient and was eager to live the villa. Taesung once again attempts to ask for her father, Taeyang to join high school, she knocked on her father's door and went in.

"..Dad"

"For the nth time, Kim Taesung. Hindi pwede! you already have everything in this house, what else do you want?!"

"Gusto ko lang naman sumali ng high school, Dad. I wanna experience the things normal kids do! Is that to hard to give..?"

Taeyang sighed in frustration as he rubbed the temple of his nose, he stood up from his desk and approached Taesung, he placed both of his hands on top of the girl's shoulders as Taesung looks at him pleadingly. Taeyang's eyes softened as he remembers the past, he took a deep breath and spoke to Taesung with a more gentle tone.

"I'm only doing this to protect you, anak...People are out there hunting for your head. We can't risk bad things happening to you..You know what happened 2 years ago, that assassin almost killed you and he almost crushed your head with that truck. If that ever happens again pwede ka gamitin ng mga Willow Trees." 

Taesung was left speechless. Her father was right. She can't risk it again, her attempt on escaping only led to an assassin spotting her, the assassin was about to kill Hyunwoo but upon spotting Taesung climb out the Villa's walls the assassin immediately found out that the Kims had a female heiress, the assassin dashed towards Taesung with his truck making Taesung flying away. This sudden loud noise caught the guards attention as they all then went to investigate, the assassin flung Taesung hard enough to a wall putting her to an unconscious state as the assassin was about to drive toward Taesung he was then shot by the Kims' best spy. This incident placed Taesung on a 7 months coma and caused her to lose half of her memories. 

Back at the present, Taesung was about to speak till Hyunwoo busted in.

"Why don't we try and send her to a university instead, dad?"

"Hyunwoo-" Hyunwoo interrupted his father with him walking beside Taesung and faced his father.

"She's already 18, Dad. She's going insane behind these walls, at least try to find a way naman. I can even give her 80% of my bodyguards just to protect her."

Taesung along with Hyunwoo looked at their father pleadingly as Taeyang could only sigh in frustration. 

"..Fine....I'll think of  way."

The two siblings then cheered as they both gave each other high fives. The two was then dismissed from their father's office with a smile in their faces, but Taesung couldn't help but question..why did he help her?

"Kuya..."

"Yes...?"

"Why did you help me..?" Hyunwoo then smiled at the girl beside him as he patted the girl's head.

"There's a promise you need to fullfil."

End of Flashback

Minyeon was now laying on her bed as she stares on the ceiling of her room, she was still puzzled by what her brother said 2 years ago. What did he mean by a promise that she needed to fullfil? Every time she attempts to ask her brother all Hyunwoo does is act fool.

"Nubayan...kainis!" Minyeon annoyingly kicked her legs aroud
