The professor enters his office at his place and sees the famous masked criminal mastermind whom the news doesn't stop talking about sitting on his desk, waiting for him.
"Hello Professor!" he says with a small smirk on his lips. "I was waiting for you."
"Wh-what do you want?" the professor asks while his whole body shakes. He's expecting the worst.
"Only your research about Atlantis, and I mean all of them." he answers coldly while getting up and walking toward the professor.
"Wh-why? Anything has been proven about its potential existence, I've only got theories" the professor replies while swallowing.
"I know where it might be and your work will help me a lot to prove my point, and I just need what's inside of this" the criminal says while taking the professor's head in his hands.
"Why me and not another historian?" the professor demands.
"Because we have more in common than you think my dear!" the masked criminal laughs.
"How so?" the professor frowns not understanding the criminal.
"Don't you see it? I am you! You created me!" the criminal theatricality replies.
The professor laughs as this situation seems ridiculous.
"Don't laugh my dear, what you actually see is a projection of your mind! You created me after the loss of your parents to avenge them for those who killed them who only wished to discover Atlantis, our parents knew much about it and didn't want to join them. That's the reason for their murder, remember?" the masked mastermind orders angrily.
"How did I create you? How didn't I feel your presence in my mind? How didn't I remember what you've done? And how is it possible that I can see you in front of me if you're in my mind? " the professor asks lost, he doesn't understand how it is possible.
"Well you've created this projection to realize that you need to finally avenge your parents but you won't be able to do it alone, or with this identity, so you made me come to you and make you realize everything and together we will be stronger. You search in the books while I search on the field, do you like this deal?" the criminal enumerates.
"Oh! Okay! Deal!" The professor starts to understand everything he never understood before, why he woke up in places he was sure he didn't purposely go.
The criminal suddenly disappears.
"Wh-where have you been?" the professor panicked.
"I'm still here! I'm in your mind." the criminal voices in his mind.
"How did you do that?" the professor asked out loud.
"Come on! We are one!" he answers, annoyed.
"Oh! Yeah! Sorry! I'm not used to that!" the professor answers, scratching his head.
"Now let's find Atlantis before those murderers." the mastermind orders.
