somehow, I always knew I'd come back to you.
living my life through every broken soul
who stopped in my path.
only to stay for a little while longer,
try to engrave in my heart
and take a piece with them,
for safe keeping.
morphing myself into a new someone.
someone they would love.
I found myself slipping
from everyone's grasp,
tired of change, tired of losing.
I found myself melting into your hands.
you kept me warm.
found my broken pieces,
healed me from what you didn't break.
again.
you are my savior,
not I.
my savior complex was crushed
when I failed before you.
I guess I will always be a poetic tragedy.
I have always been scared of who
would be the one to save me,
I'm just glad it was you,
who taught me how to save me from myself.
