Back at the party, Blaise and Pansy had joined us finally. The four of us having fun and blending seamlessly into the festivities around us. Theo had grabbed my hand and pulled me into the crowd, twirling me to the music. The lights and the laughter swept us all away but as the night wore on, his hand grew more bold, making me feel increasingly uncomfortable. Blaise and Pansy, caught up in their own revelry, didn't seem to notice the shift in Theo's behavior.
Theo, undeterred, leaned in close, his voice husky with a hint of flirtation. "You know, Evelyn, we make a great pair on the dance floor. Maybe this is just the beginning."
I chuckled nervously, trying to keep things light. "Just keep dreaming, Theo."
He winked, his grip on my waist tightening just a bit. "Just trying to make the evening memorable."
The dance continued, but I couldn't shake the growing unease. I was grateful for the distraction, as it provided a temporary respite from the secrecy and darkness that had encroached on my life, but Theo's advances were starting to cross the line.
After the party, we were walking back to the common room when he suddenly grabbed my wrist, pulling me into a dimly light hall. He pushed me up against the wall, leaning in closer.
His voice was just above a whisper, his breath hot against my cheek. "I can't resist you any longer. The way you look tonight, the way you've been teasing me. I need to feel you closer, to taste your lips."
"Theo.. I-I.." My breath was caught in my throat, my palms grew sweaty and my face turned red.
Before I could say more he leaned in, closing the distance between us and pressed his lips against mine. His hands moving passionately up my arm to the back of my head. I was shocked and taken aback by his actions.
I raised my hands to his chest, pushing him off me and wiping my mouth. "Theo! What are you doing?" I shouted shakily.
Theo clearly enjoyed me being shaken and flustered. He smirks, "You look so sexy tonight, I just couldn't control myself."
He takes a step closer, his voice low and enticing. "But don't pretend you didn't enjoy it, even for a moment."
I shook my head, "I thought we were coming as friends."
His thumb and index finger pinched my cheeks, puckering my lips. His other hand slowly trailing up my inner thigh up under my dress. His fingers attempting to push the fabric of my underwear to the side despite my resistance.
His voice is a low, seductive whisper. "Friends? We both know there's something more between us. Something that goes beyond friendship. I can feel it every time we're together."
His body almost pressed against mine, I could smell the alcohol on his breath. His voice becomes more intense and his eyes were burning with desire. "Come on, Evelyn."
I pushed him harder, widening the gap between us. Then was my opportunity. I dashed from the hall, the clanking of my heels echoed in the corridor as I fled. My heart was pounding in my chest as I didn't know where to go or what to do now. I just needed the space away from him, and the common room was the last place I could go.
The Room of Requirement was the best place for me, now. I looked up and down the hall to ensure I was alone before standing in front of the space on the seventh floor. It's door began to reveal itself to me in my desperate time of need. Once inside, I found myself in its collection of lost and found items. I couldn't help but feel like just another lost item in the clutter.
I settled into an armchair, my heart still racing after what just happened. I should have listened to Draco better, he warned me about something like this but I never took it seriously. Theo is very much a flirt by nature but I never thought he would mistake our friendship and my kindness as anything more. I couldn't help but wonder how all of tonight's events would impact not only our mission but the friendships we have worked so hard to maintain under everything.
