hellooooooo readers! at the time of writing this it's decently late so I apologize if this comes out a bit late, doing a bunch of stuff IRL y'know the works. ANYWAYS, enjoy the chapter!

I wake up in a dark void. I quickly come to my senses because I know I'm not where I fell asleep. I fell asleep in my bed, with Impulse next to me after... Oh. Right. My mood goes down immediately after I remember what happened. "Stop it Gem, you need to figure out where you are," I say out loud.
I slowly turn in a circle, expecting to find something. I'm not surprised I don't see anything, though I am a little scared. I see a faint purple glow from above me, but I can't find where it's coming from.
"Hello, Gem." I hear a voice behind me say. I snap my head around and I see... Pearl? "Is that you, Pearl?" I curiously ask. "Sort of. You're still asleep." Pearl responds. "Where am I? How are you here?" I say quickly. "How I'm here is something for another day. Where you are, however, is something you should know. You are currently in your dreams. I'm real, but I am not me if that makes sense. When I talk to you again, I will be very unstable. I will not be as calm as I am now. I also will not remember this, you will though. There is a chance after I recover I will remember this, but I'm not 100% sure that will be the case. I wanted to contact you, and obviously, I have my ways. If you want a better explanation, talk to Grian. I'm not sure I'll survive yet. I have to leave now. I love you, Gem." Pearl says with a monotone voice. She starts to fade away and I start screaming. "Don't leave me! Please don't leave me! Come back, Please! Pearl!" I yell.
"Gem, wake up!"
"Wake up!"
I wake up once again and I sit up immediately. I'm cold but I'm sweaty at the same time. My breaths are very shaky and quick. My body is shaking hard. "Are you alright, Gem?" Impulse asks me. "Pearl..." I whisper. I couldn't say anything else. "Shhh, it's alright. I wanted to wake you up because you were screaming in your sleep." Impulse says. I look out the window and I can see that the sun has already risen.
Before Impulse does anything else, I pull myself out of bed and I start making my way towards the door. "Where are you going?" Impulse questions. "I need to talk to someone." I loudly respond. In a few seconds, I'm already out of my house. I swiftly start to make my way to Grian's base.
