"This son of a bitch!" I say out loud while speedily flying to Grian's base. "He didn't even bother to tell me anything! He had to have known about this!"
I feel a buzz from my communicator and I stop to check it.

Gem just woke up screaming and then she immediately left. I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not.>

I quickly put my communicator away and continued to Grian's base.
"Grian, get your ass out here now!" I yell as I walk into his base.
"Woah, woah, woah! What happened?" Grian says as he practically runs out of a different room. "What do you mean, 'What happened?' How the hell would you not know what happened?" I scream back. "Gem, you're going to have to calm down!" Grian says. "Calm down? Calm down? Do you seriously expect me to calm down?" I shout.
"Can you please tell me what this is about? I don't understand!" Grian states. "Well since you're such an idiot I'll lay it out cleanly for you! Pearl showed up in my dreams and she told me to talk to you! Now you're going to tell me what this is about!" I yell back at him. "I'll talk to you if you stop screaming at me! Otherwise, you're just going to figure this out yourself!" He shouts.
After a few minutes of shouting back and forth, I finally calmed down enough that we could have an actual conversation.
"Okay, you're going to have to tell me exactly what happened," Grian says calmly. "Well first I fell asleep with Impulse, but then I woke up in the void place with a faint purple glow. A bit later, Pearl shows up and she sort of explains a few things. She told me to talk to you for an explanation. Then, she said she had to leave and she started fading away. I was screaming for her, but then Impulse woke me up saying I was yelling in my sleep. I just got up and started flying my way here. I guess you know everything after that." I quietly say. "I have an answer for you, but you're not going to like it too much. You also can't tell anyone about this. Not even Pearl, or at least until she remembers." Grian responds. "How do you know about that?" I ask. "It's something that we would know," Grian says. "We?" I question. "We Watchers."
"What?! Watchers? You two are Watchers?" I exclaim. "We were Watchers. You're going to have to quiet down," Grian says. "What do you mean, you were Watchers?" I ask quieter than before. "We weren't always Watchers. We were players originally. We were a part of the server EVO. I sacrificed myself to them to save the server, but they kept destroying the server without me knowing. Pearl asked them to trade her out for me so that I could be a player again. They took her, but they didn't release me. After years of torture, we escaped. We still have some of our powers, but we are no longer as powerful as we were." Grian explains. I felt like I was hit with a brick. "We found a haven here in Hermitcraft. No one knows, except for you." Grian says. "You're the admin of EVO?" I ask. "Yes," Is all Grian responds with. "So that's how Pearl..." I whisper. "Yes," Grian repeats. "You can't tell anyone about this, okay?" Grian asks, but it doesn't seem like a question. "Okay," I say, "I have to leave." "Just don't say anything!" Grian yells as I start to fly away.
After I'm a few hundred blocks away from Grian's base, I pull out my communicator.

I start my way to the medical center, happy that Doc let me see Pearl.
"Thank you, Doc. I really needed to see Pearl." I say as Doc leads me to Pearl's room. "How is she?" I ask. "Well, after last night, she's actually doing pretty well. We got her back to stable condition, but she still hasn't responded well to treatments." Doc responds. "As long as she's okay," I say.
Doc leaves me with Pearl once we get to her room. I think I see a faint purple glow coming from Pearl but I'm pretty sure I'm imagining it. When I'm at her bed, I collapse beside her. "Come back, please," I whisper. "I don't think I can go much longer without you, Pearl." I feel our heartbeats sync up with each other. It makes me think Pearl can hear me. I quickly looked behind me to check if Doc was there, and leaned closer to Pearl. I kiss her quickly and I pull back just as fast. I think I saw her mouth twitch a little.
"I love you."
