It's been 3 years since Yumi left Jungkook and their daughter alone. Jungkook felt terrible as Ji-Yan slowly started forgetting her mom. She is 5 years old now. She lost her mother when she was just two years old, few minutes before her birthday.

Jungkook recalls the dreadful night. He closed his eyes going back to that moment. "Jun-Jungkook" Jimin called him exactly at 11:45 PM. "Hi Jimin, there's still 15 more minutes to wish Ji-yan and I'm not gonna allow you to wish my princess first." Jungkook chuckled. "No Jungkook, Yumi—." Jimin couldn't complete. "Yumi? She hasn't reached yet, probably will be here soon." Jungkook checked the clock that says 11:46 PM.

"Jungkook, just listen to me, Yumi met with an accident and she is taken to our hospital. Please take Ji yan and get there soon." Jimin literally yelled to pull himself together. For a moment he went deaf as if he couldn't hear any sound around, a complete shut down. His phone slipped away from his hand and dropped.

He controlled his emotions, carried Ji yan and grabbed his car keys, headed to hospital. "Daddy, where are we going?" He heard a little feeble voice from behind. "We are going to meet your mom." Tears filled his eyes as the thought of how worse it could be.

Jungkook could see the light on (which indicates the surgery is going on) in front of the operation room. He saw Jimin standing next to the door.
"Kookie." Jimin hugged as soon as his eyes met his friend and cried to his shoulder. "How bad it is?" Jungkook trembled seeing Jimin crying. "I don't know yet, dad and mom is still inside.

Few minutes later, Mr and Mrs Park came out from the operation room. Jungkook saw tears in that woman's eyes. She knelt on the floor crossing her hands on her chest. "My daughter, my beautiful Yumi left us. She is go—she is gone, my Yumi is gone." Her mother cried her eyes out screaming in pain. Jimin hugged his father and shed out all his tears. Jungkook saw her father's wet eyes for the first time.

Amid all this stood Jungkook with Ji Yan still holding his pinky finger. He didn't know what he was going through. He didn't cry, even if tears filled his eyes, he didn't let out one single drop. He just sat on the chair beside him and closed yes eyes.

"We promised an eternity, but you left me too soon."

At present

Jungkook was in the hospital doing his routine work of treating the patients in ED. His busy schedule keeps him engaged and don't make him think of Yumi. He drops his daughter to school every morning, head to hospital, consult and diagnose the major injuries/ illnesses. He have got few assistants to help him out ( set up by his father in law to keep him steady), gets off from hospital by 6 PM, pick up his daughter and head to home.

"Dr. Jungkook, we have a VIP patient coming in, please be prepared." One of the fellow doctor informed him. He took his stethoscope and rushed out. An ambulance stop in front of the ED bringing out an unconscious patient. Jungkook's heart dropped seeing the face of the patient.

"What's the cause?"

"It's sleeping pill overdose sir."

"Take him to intensive care and prepare for a stomach pump."

Jungkook sighed seeing his assistants taking the man to ICU.

He pulled out his phone and texted someone.
"Jimin, please meet me down now."

Once the procedure was done, the man was put under medications and observation. Jungkook waited outside the room looking in through the glass. "What's up brother?" Jimin shoulder punched his brother in law. Jungkook signalled him to look inside.

The moment Jimin saw his face he recognised. "It's Kim Taehyung. What's he doing here?" He expressed his concern. "Overdosed." The doctor responded furiously. Jimin gasped hearing that. "People like him deserves to die." Jimin mumbled.

Jungkook sighed again and looked down. "He don't deserve my Yumi's heart."

"You gave your heart to the most undeserving person in this world."
