In the bustling kitchen of the upscale restaurant "Backyard Bowls," the atmosphere was charged with intensity... Clattering pans, sizzling skillets, and the rhythmic chopping of vegetables filled the air... Chef Seokjin, a tall figure in a crisp white chef's jacket, moved about with precision, orchestrating the culinary dance unfolding before him...
The clock on the wall seemed to mock him as its hands moved faster than he could keep up... Seokjin's brow furrowed in concentration as he multitasked, calling out orders to his team, checking the progress of multiple dishes, and tasting sauces with a critical eye...
"Two minutes on the risotto!" he barked, his voice commanding but tinged with underlying stress... He wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, leaving a smudge of flour on his furrowed brow...
Now, Seokjin loves his job... but sometimes, it's way too stressful for him... And that 'sometimes' is becoming his everyday routine... Just as he was about to oversee the plating of a signature entrée, the expediter called out, "Chef, we're out of arugula for the salad!"
Seokjin's frustration boiled over. "Out of arugula? How does that even happen?" he muttered under his breath, his tone tinged with exasperation…
The commotion in the kitchen seemed to amplify, a cacophony of clashing utensils and muttered apologies... Seokjin clenched his jaw, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the edge of the stainless steel counter... He closed his eyes briefly, trying to find a moment of calm amidst the chaos... 'Count Seokjin... count... 1... 2... 3...' he kept repeating the process until he managed to control himself...
He gave concise directions to his team, calmly instructing them to find an alternative for the salad... With each dish that left the kitchen, he felt a sense of accomplishment that momentarily eased the weight of his stress...
As the last plates were sent out and the kitchen began to quiet down, Seokjin took a deep breath... He looked around at his team, their faces flushed and tired but determined... The dinner rush was over while the stress had been intense...
'Why is my life so hard?' he groaned with the thought
Seokjin was walking towards his apartment when his co-worker joined "Yahhh hyung... wait for me" Jeonghan yelled but Seokjin didn't stop "Come fast I am way too tired to wait" his hands are all blisters from the rough work while his legs are a little swollen and the only thing he wants right at this particular moment is to sleep
Jeonghan ran to match his Hyung's walking speed... 'fuck you short legs' he cursed in his mind... It's not only Jin who is tired and stressed... Obviously, as a head chef, the older male does have many responsibilities but junior chefs also work equally hard... Except for Trisha... The new joining in their team is literal pain in the ass... She is the reason why they ran out of Arugula today... "Aish Hyung... Let's have some drinks ""So that I wake up feeling more exhausted than I already am?Nahhh I pass" Seokjin said while looking at the road mentally cursing at the distance they had to travel every freaking day... Even though the walk isn't too long but still when you crave for sleeping walking two steps feels like an eternity
Jeonghan sighed but didn't say anything further... He can understand why SeokJin is so salty... The stress is killing him and he needs something sweet like a break from all this chaos... As if his wish was heard by the god (or authors) a guy bumped into SeokJin making him lose his balance but luckily the guy caught him by his waist... "Woahhhh... Are you alright, Mister?"
The overly joyful guy, smiling brighter than the sunshine, made SeokJin's eyes grow wide... The stranger was holding the tripod that was holding his camera…He immediately composed himself and moved away, maintaining a static distance "Don't you think you should watch where you are going?" The stranger scratched the back of his head... "I am sorry... I was talking to my 'Hope Army' and didn't actually pay attention to where I was going... My apologies" he said and looked into the camera "Sorry guys... Accidents happen... We will continue our journey exploring new food..." He winked at the camera
Seokjin gave out a weird look " still just imagine if it was an elderly woman instead of me? She could have gotten really hurt you know..." Saying that he started walking without waiting for any reply… But was that going to stop Hoseok from chasing... "Hey hey... I am sorry and I would have saved her just the way I did to you and from next time I will surely be more careful... Btw, is there any food place that sells traditional cuisine?" He asked while walking backwards… "First good for you and secondly yet unfortunately yeah" he said without stopping for the stranger and soon they were near Seokjin's room "do you wanna accompany me inside as well?" He asked with a raised eyebrow
"Really? I would love to... You are such a sweetheart" Hoseok looked at his camera again "You see this guys... This handsome stranger is so generous to cook for me... I have never seen such a kind hearted person in this area before..." SeokJin was about to snap but Jeonghan asked "Excuse me... If you don't mind me asking... How many subscribers do you have?" Hoseok's smile grew wide... "I have a family of 15.9 million people…" Jeonghan's eyes sparkled "Wow, what's your channel name?" He literally jumped out of excitement which made Seokjin roll his eyes... He let out a deep breath to calm himself down and opened the door " dude I am hella tired can you guys please stop? I want to no I need to have a peaceful sleep"
Hoseok's mouth formed a small 'o' turning his lips into the shape of a heart... "Oh so sorry... No problem... I will come tomorrow then... Breakfast is on you... Apparently, I live for food... I will find a place to eat tonight... Bye... Take care beautiful" he then turned his attention to Jeonghan... "Channel name is 'Hope Eats' don't forget to subscribe" he winked again before leaving the place... And SeokJin stood there in utter confusion...
"What was that?"
