Chapter 9 - Sure You Can

"What the f*ck is going on here?!" I yelled, squirming in my seatbelt.

"We're taking you back," One of them said.

"Pete's orders," The other one said.

"Screw Pete's orders! Now get me the f*ck out!" I yelled.

They ignored me.

"Tyler!" I yelled.

He was a little pale and looked down.

"I-I'm sorry. . ." He said.

I glared and slapped his arm.

"What the f*ck do you mean 'I'm sorry'? You KNEW this was going to happen?" I said, getting angrier.

"No! I didn't - well I was coming here to - but I - I didn't know they were going to take you! All I knew is that I was going to pay my girlfriend a friendly visit! They never told me anything about this!" He said desperately.

Well, fighting won't get us anywhere, will it.

I just sighed and slumped in my chair and didn't respond.

He sighed as well, running his hands through his hair nervously.

He looked pretty cute when he did that.

'Think about cookies, rainbows, Bruno Mars, and unicorns' I thought.

'Cause your amazing! Just the way you are!' I hummed in my head.

I looked out the window, watching the trees pass by rapidly.

There was an awkward silence for a few minutes.

Then out of the blue, the driver screams "F*CK!"

The car jolts to a stop and I'm pushed forward.

Thank GOD I had the seat belt!

Tyler just grabbed onto the sides.

"Ah come on, Tim! How could you not see the huge dog there!" The guy in the passenger seat said.

So the driver is Tim.

"It's black! How the hell am I supposed to see it?!" Tim said.

"Exactly! It's daytime and it's black!" The guy in the passenger seat said.

"The road is black too, Jim! You're such a dimwit!" Tim said.

Aaaanddd the passenger seat guy's name is Jim.

How coincidental.

"Guys! It's go!" Tyler reminded them.

Tim slammed his foot on the gas pedal and away we went.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

A few miles before we got to school, I heard sirens.

"Ah sh*t." Tim said.

"I told you not to step on the pedal too hard!" Jim said.

And then, it broke out again and they were yelling and fighting.

"Does this always happen?" I asked Tyler.

He nodded.

"They just don't show it to people that they don't know yet. I think they know that you won't tell on them
