The Bellephantom Street

Rune was walking to his home after finishing his work.

He needed to walk past an old street said to be haunted as there was construction work happening on his usual path.

The street's name is, Bellephantom street.

He looked up at the sky, the full moon looked white and beautiful.

Today, it had a strange beauty to it.

He didn't mind it and just walked forward thinking the moon looks beautiful.

The street light illuminated his path as he walked, he heard the sound of owl hooting.

The owl's cry made him feel uneasy.

'Maybe I should have taken a taxi or something' Rune thought

He Regretted his choice of saving money.

He gulped as. He continued to walk.

No house in the street had lights on, and he couldn't see anyone other than him on the road.

Rune felt scared, but he braced himself and walked faster.

Tak, Tak, Tak.

He heard his footsteps clearly in this silent street.

But suddenly he heard a magnetic voice which mesmerized him for a minute.

It was a woman's voice, she was calling his name sweetly.

The street lamps started to flicker and some even exploded with bang sound.

But Rune can't even hear it all he could hear was the woman's mesmerizing voice, repeating in his ears.

Rune's eyes dimed and seemed cloudy, he wanted to run towards the voice, he wanted to protect the voice.

Rune naturally had a suspicious nature and now, a woman's voice in a street said to be haunted, even though his mind felt cloudy but he couldn't ignore the suspicious feeling.

In this eerie street, the sudden magnetic voice of a woman made Rune uneasy.

Rune bit his lips until it bled, only then did his eyes regain its original glow.

He felt like he just woke up from a dream, Rune touched his bleeding lips, his heart raced as he quickened his pace, trying to ignore the eerie feeling that swept over him.

But that magnetic voice called his name again.

He couldn't control himself, his eyes dimed again but this time there was fear visible in his eyes he didn't want to turn around, he wanted to run away but he couldn't control his body and slowly turned back...

He saw the empty and eerie street unlike before this time, all the normal looking houses he saw before were either broken or in a bad condition.

His pupils shook in fear, he didn't know if it was because of the fear but he regained his body's control and quickly turned around, wanting to run.

But He saw a gorgeous woman standing in front of him.

The gorgeous woman asked as she smiled shyly, "am I beautiful? " the woman's voice was the same as the magnetic voice that he heard.

Rune's mind clouded the moment he saw the gorgeous woman and he couldn't think of anything, like he was in a dream.

Suddenly his phone rang, in the silent street, the phone ringing sound louder.

Tring! Tring! Tring!

Rune's mind was still cloudy and he dazedly took out his phone from the pocket and saw a name in the caller screen.

*Mom*

As Rune's mind cleared up bit by bit, he heard the woman say, "what a pity..."

Rune's cloudy eyes instantly cleared up and filled up with fear now, he looked up but didn't see the woman anymore.

she was nowhere to be seen. All he saw was the empty street.

Rune ran for his life, he ran and ran, until he arrived at his apartment.

He took breath for moment and remembered his mom who called him at the haunted street and helped him escape from that ghost.

He decided to call her after thinking for a bit.

Rune's heart pounded in his chest as he called his mom, all the while wondering if he had narrowly escaped a strange encounter.

Rune spoke to his mom about his day at work and tried to calm his nerves by sharing a lighthearted story, avoiding any mention of the unsettling encounter he had just experienced on the empty street.

From then on Rune never worked overtime and always left early..

A few months after that incident, he was sleeping peacefully in his bed.

He dreamed of that woman again...

Since that day he has been dreaming about her every night and just like usual she was in his dream again.

They were in a black pitch room, Rune couldn't see anything, all he could hear was the woman's voice.

"Am I beautiful? Do you like me?" She kept whispering it again and again.

Normally she would stay far away from him and whisper but this time she was getting closer to him each time she spoke...

Rune's back was filled with sweat, his eyes revealed his fear, he took a step back and wanted to run but he fell to the floor.

The woman was very close to him now, she slowly crouched down in front of him and whispered.

"This time I got you"

Rune felt pain in his head, he clutched his head and screamed.

"Aahhhh!"

Next day,

Rune's mother visited his apartment, worried since Rune didn't take her call this morning but she didn't see him in his apartment.

His phone, bike, everything was here but he wasn't.

Rune's mother called his friends and colleagues but they also didn't know anything.

Days passed, months passed.

Rune had gone missing and yet to be found.

As this was happening, a story got famous on social media.

The story of the Bellephantom street.

It is said if you were out the bellephantom street on a full moon night, the hungry ghost of that street would devour you.

A lot sneered at this story, while a few believed the story.

But one thing is certain, the hunt of the hungry ghost of the Bellephantom street will continue.
