The Nightmare Well

In a beautiful town named, peach.

the people in the peach town were doing their everyday things.

some were going to work, while others were opening their shops.

the roads of the town were crowded with people walking here and there.

the town had a lively atmosphere as people laughed and chatted with their neighbours.

Deep inside the city, in the truth road,

The children were playing hopscotch.

one kid hopped almost to the end but fell at the last step.

The others all laughed.

"It's my turn!" A girl with a ponytail exclaimed cheerfully.

"What? no, it's my turn!" A boy with curly hair pouted as he shouted.

The kids started to argue who was to play next.

"Aghh fine! Cain, you play this time." The girl with a ponytail said as she dragged the boy with curly hair.

The other kids all agreed.

The boy started to play as the kids laughed and clapped.

Their laughter painted a delightful atmosphere.

A few people stood under a big Banyan tree, talking.

"I heard andy got a girlfriend."

"What really? With his questionable character, he got a girlfriend?"

"He's rich even if his character is bad..."

"That's true..."

The people gossiping and their chatter made the street appear more lively.

A few metres ahead, near the oldest well in the town.

A young woman sat beside the oldest well in the town with a pale face.

An old man passed by but he saw the young woman sitting beside the well with a pale face.

"Emily, what happened?" The old man who was close to Emily asked her.

"it's nothing grandpa..." Emily replied to the old man's question.

the old man didn't ask more as she seemed reluctant to answer.

the old man left but Emily knew he would try to cheer her up by buying her favorite cake like always...

"huuuu..."

Emily sighed.

'these few days I have been having the same dream...' Emily thought to herself silently.

Emily has been having the same dream for a week now.

in that dream, she does her daily things but after finishing her work instead of going back home, she goes to the old mansion that has been closed for decades.

'the mansion that appears in the dream is not the only problem...'

"haaa..." Emily sighed again.

inside the mansion, she sees a man dressed in formal wear. she eats dinner with the man as the man watches her eat dinner, but when she finishes the dinner... he suddenly stands up and walks towards her, grabs her neck and kills her by strangling her.

each time, every time...

All the while she sits still motionless after eating dinner.

She couldn't control her dream self but she could feel the pain of being strangled.
