Ghostly Solace Manor

The Haunted mansion in Raven village is said to be haunted after the last owner died from illness but it has been haunted since a long time ago.

The ghost haunting the mansion is Marina.

She died by being burnt after she was accused of being a witch.

But Marina is not a witch, she only wanted to live happily with her husband but she died together with her husband who tried to save her.

Her husband moved on to after life but she held high resentment towards the people who caused their deaths and made a mistake when the resentment blinded her eyes.

And thus, she was unable to move on.

She doesn't want to scare people but she has to.

Marina doesn't want to become a mindless ghost, that's why she scares the humans who enters the mansion.

Normally ghosts would forget who they were when they were alive over time but by scaring humans they get to keep their memories and sanity.

Marina doesn't know who made such a stupid rule.

The humans after being scared often throw their things inside the mansion when they leave. And such, Marina has chest full of books and another chest full of random things since it's students who mostly enters here.

She likes to read books to pass time, even if she had read all the books, she would read it again to pass time.

This time, it was once again a group of students who entered here to find ghosts they looked like good friends.

Marina was cautious, she only started scaring them after they entered the second floor.

Together with her black cat Mimi.

It has been a little over a year since Mimi started living here, Mimi makes Marina feel less lonely and also helps with scaring humans.

As Marina was about to scare them, The students started laughing and teasing each other for being afraid after seeing the black cat.

They looked like good friends, Marina watched them tease each other and ultimately she didn't scare them.

Marina watched the group of friends explore the mansion's second floor and check all the rooms.

They talked and laughed, and some teased each other and the group of friends gleefully exited the mansion, the fear that was on their face when they entered was nowhere to be seen now.

She looked outside from the window as the group of friends walked while chatting.

Marina doesn't know when another human will come here, it's already been 6 months since last time, she only has one more month until she becomes a mindless ghost.

So she has to take this chance, if not she will become a mindless ghost who lost her sanity, wandering, just existing, until she either moves on or becomes a malicious ghost.

Marina contemplated for a moment before sighing.

She made wind blow harder, and one of the girls from the group turned to look at the mansion, Marina smiled simply. It was her normal smile. Then she turned invisible and did not let the girl see her anymore.

But the girl seemed scared as her face turned pale.

Mimi also meowed helping to scare the girl.

The girl talked with her friends and they started walking faster but the group didn't seem scared other than that girl.

Marina assumed the girl didn't tell her friends, worrying they would be way too scared.

Marina liked such a beautiful friendship.

Mimi meowed and nestled on Marina's hands.

Not all animals can see ghosts and even those who can see ghosts can't touch ghosts but Mimi is different, she can touch and see her whether she is invisible or not.

Marina smiled as she petted Mimi.

The group of friends left.

Marina as always chose a book from her book pile and started to read it. This is her routine, unless someone comes inside or near the mansion she simply reads her books.

Marina sat on a rocking chair on the first floor as read her book, while Mimi comfortably napped on her lap.
