"Winnie! What are you doing here?" I exited the school as a specialist, Kat, ran up to me.

"Where's Sky?" I asked watching as people frantically ran around and I tried to spot the blonde.

"With Silva, you need to go inside, it's dangerous out here. I'll make sure to tell Sky you're looking for him, go to the courtyard with the other students," she replied as I sighed before following some students into the courtyard.

"What's going on?" I asked some students. Apparently Burned One's had infiltrated the barrier and were on the school grounds, this meant that we were going to war.

I tried to go find the girls but specialists were guarding every exit so I just had to patiently wait and hope no one was hurt.

"Winnie!" I quickly turned around to see Sky running at me, I let out a relieved sigh as I hugged him tightly.

"I tried to look for you but no one would let me," I quickly said as Sky shook his head. He leaned down and kissed me passionately as I sighed into the kiss and pulled him down closer.

"Winnie, I know this is really shit timing and all but I don't know what's gonna happen tonight, so I was gonna ask if you wanted to be my girlfriend," Sky offered as I smiled softly and nodded.

"I would love that Sky," I replied before leaning up to kiss him again.

"While that was beautiful your timing couldn't be more off, Sky let's go," Silva broke us up as Sky squeezed my hand one last time before running off with Silva.

"Dad!" I heard Terra's voice making me turn around to see the girls carrying a bloody Sam towards the medic table.

"Fucking hell, what happened?" I asked as Mr Harvey immediately started treating his son.

"A Burned One cut him," Terra replied as tears streamed down her cheeks. I turned to look at Musa who was in a frozen state and shaking.

"Come on, you shouldn't be watching this," I whispered to Musa as I ran a comforting hand down her back.

"I can't leave, not this time," she replied softly but I could tell she wasn't really talking to me.

I turned around to see Stella and Sky talking, closely. I tried not to become jealous due to the severe circumstances we were currently in however I knew how stressed Sky was and I don't think my cringey teenage angst was going to ease his pain.

"He feels awkward and tense, unlike when he's with you and feels warm, slightly anxious but excited. Doubting Sky's love for you would be your downfall," I jumped as Musa came behind me and spoke into my ear as she joined me watching Sky and Stella's interaction.

"Having a mind empath as a friend finally comes in use, never thought I'd see the day," I replied sarcastically as she laughed gently.

"Last year, my mum was really sick. I-I couldn't do anything but just watch her slip away. I felt the moment she died, I can't do that with Sam. If he goes, I can't be with him. And Terra just doesn't understand that," Musa whispered as I turned to face the crying girl.

"Musa, I'm so sorry," I replied as I brought her into a comforting embrace. I had never seen Musa break down before, she held so many emotions but never let the negativity escape. "He's not gonna die, Bloom wouldn't let that happen. For once, you need to rely on other people," I soothed Musa as she nodded.

"I can help Sam, I can soak his pain into me but I-I just can't do it," she sobbed.

"Don't focus on the negative side of it, think about your love for Sam and the fact that he'd do the same for you," I replied.
