Chapter 11- Food fight!

I sat on my table with Raven,Apple and Maddie, about to chew into my cucmber sandwich until Derek and his friends squash themselves on.

Ugh!

"Hey Derek, brushed your hair since last week?" I teased.

His friends were all very silly and started throwing small pieces of bread and other stuff at eachover. Not long after, there was a whole food fight in the hall.

There was eggs on the ceiling, pies on the walls and goodness knows all the stuff that was lying on the floor! I saw a scoop of mash potatoe flying towards me, i dodged it and turned to see who threw it. It was Derek. I could have guessed. I threw my cup of water back at him then hid under my chair.

I dont believe you! First you pull me off a dragon and now your soaking me with water!" He shrieked, dramaticly.

"ME!? Your the one who kissed me!" I blurted out without thinking.

The room went silence.

"Are you ok?" Maddie called returning from the toilet," you look very red!"

I turned even more red. I put my head in my hand then ran off back to my dorm. I never felt such embarresment in all my life. Duchess was not here as she was still eating. I lay on my bed staring up into the celing.

I can't believe i said that, im such a blabber mouth!

I sighed and went to look at the lake in the forest through my window. Apple, Briar and Holly came in. They sat on my bed.

"Hey,"smiled Holly and Briar.

"Let me guess, you saw?" I frowned.

"Yeah,"they put there arms around my shoulder.
"Dont worry about it though, something good will come."

"Yeah, and you only live once upon a time," winked Briar.

"Come on, lets go and pratise our dance," they held my hand as we walled into Holly's room.

Thats when i remembered. The contest was tommorow!

We practised for the rest of the evening then went to bed at nine o'clock so we could be ready.
