Book Two-Chapter Five:Pick your poison

The next person that Taki went to was Shu, she wanted to be sure that she wasn't going to be fucking herself over if she chose to be with someone else. She had heard the words 'I love you' from Shu, whether he meant those words or not was a different story. When Taki got to Shu's room she wasn't surprised to see the male lying on his bed.

So she went up to him and she placed her legs on either side of him as she placed a hand on the side of his head and the other on the side of his face. "Shu..."

His eyes soon opened only for his blue eyes to meet up with her golden eyes. "Taki, so you did come back."

"I don't know if this for good or not. I went to Kanato first to see if he'd truly give himself to me...I was proven wrong. Apparently teddy is more important to him than I am." Taki said sadly

"I could have seen that coming, so what is your plan Taki?"

"I'm not telling you anything just answer this honestly. Can you honestly say that you love just me?"

Shu sighed out with his eyes shut. "I don't know where you're going with this, why should I answer that?"

She got off of him and frowned. "I'll take your question as a no. Good to know you said those words just to lead me on...I regret ever letting you take my virginity...asshole."

Shu frowned as he realized that he had probably lost his only chance to be with Taki. Her next person was Reiji. She knew he wouldn't say those three words unless he truly meant them. So he was her hope, if he didn't there would be no hope when she'd go up to Laito, Ayato or Subaru. Finding Reiji in his usual room she knocked on the door before going in, she saw he was busy only until he turned to look at her.

"I figured you were around Taki, you've really made your plan known haven't you?" Reiji asked curiously

"Plan what plan?"

"Ask us all if we love you, if you don't get what you want you move on to the next. Afterwards you'll kill yourself, or am I wrong?" Reiji asked

"Completely and utterly wrong. I don't wish my own death." Taki said with a sigh "I just want to be loved. Which brings me to why I'm in here...can you say that you love me and use the word love Reiji?"

Reiji was quiet for a moment before he placed down what was in his hands. He then looked to her before he took his glove off. "You know that's impossible."

"Are you saying that because you won't say it to me, or because you can't let yourself say it? I feel like I'm just a toy or tool to you boys this entire time. I want the truth from all of you individually." Taki said sadly

"I can't say it, there's no way for me to say that word since I have no idea what love is Taki."

Taki wouldn't tear up in front of him, she just left before she went to Subaru next. She found him in the hall walking. When Subaru saw her his eyes widen before he hugged her tightly. "Taki, thank goodness you're okay."

Taki didn't hug him back, she didn't know what to say or do. "Do you love me?" She asked sadly

Instantly he let go of her as he looked her in the eyes. "What's this all of a sudden Taki-"

"JUST ANSWER ME!" She shouted upset. "Do you love me Subaru?"

Subaru was taken back by her words and didn't know what to say to her about what he felt about her. He sighed and he looked to her sadly. "I can't say that I do cause I don't want to harm you or kill you."

That was all she needed to know just to push him out of her way and go to the wreck room where Ayato was playing darts by himself. "Ayato..."Taki said sadly

Her faith in him was very slim, she wasn't going to expect much out of him. But she had to get his answer. Hearing her voice Ayato turned quickly to her. "Taki...you came here on your own?"

"Of course I did. I need to figure things out on my own. Tell me honestly, do you believe you can love me more than you love yourself?"Taki asked

He stiffened hearing her phrase the question how she did, he rubbed the back of his neck. "Why would you phrase it like that?"

"I want to know if I'll be your number one Ayato, can you place me above yourself or are you incapable of doing that?"Taki said sadly

He threw the dart he had in his hand at the board before he went to her. "I don't think you quiet understand just what you're doing right now. What's making you do this?"

Taki was getting pissed at the boys for questioning her and turned into her wolf form as she growled at him. He backed away from her in shock before he grabbed one of the darts he had yet to throw and had it in his hand as if he was going to stab her with it.

"Stay the hell away from me!"

Taki turned back to her founder form and she crossed her arms. "I scare you which means you can't accept me. Which also means you can't ever love me. Thanks for nothing, there's a reason you lost me asshole, good luck with ever getting a woman to love you."Taki said coldly before she went to the last male who she knew was in the manor.

She knew he was in the piano room so that's where she went only to hear him playing, as he finished playing he opened his eyes that were closed. "Poor little Taki, can't find anyone to love you can you?"

"Saying you do?" Taki asked

Laito chuckled at her and smiled. "Love or lust, hate or dislike...what's the difference? You must come to know that this game your playing won't end in your favor."

"Just answer me Laito, can you love me and stay true to me?"

Laito rose an eyebrow at her. "Say I do, will I get privilege to have you how I want when I want?"

"If I am comfortable with it...maybe. But I won't risk myself for your libido."

He hummed out before he leaned himself against the upper part of the piano. "Doesn't sound like a good idea. Though I have to say your eyes and hair look so much better on you now than they had in the past. I'm so used to seeing your hair being the color of my mother, it was such a turn on. Seeing you like this, I don't believe I can love you."

"Then you'll never see me in this house again. Goodbye Laito."

She then went to get her bag before she went back to the demon world she knew where she had to go and she only hoped that she'd see her adoptive brother before she saw anyone else. "Yuma...please don't be angered at me."
