Book Three-8: Alone with him

For the next week Kou didn't go to school with the others, he wanted to spend his time with Taki to see just how she was with how things had changed. Kou didn't believe that she had what it took to be faithful to just him. So he tried on many times to try to kill himself, with or without his siblings around. Taki didn't understand just what he was doing, but it hurt her to see him constantly trying to kill himself.

As Yuma, Azusa and Ruki came back home Kou was about to jump off of the shed where Yuma kept all of his gardening supplies. But Taki grabbed a hold of him making it so she got the brunt of the fall as he fell on top of her. Kou was going to speak only for Ruki to pull him off of her.

"This is getting too much Kou, you shouldn't be trying to kill yourself. This fall could have easily killed her." Ruki said seriously

Before Kou could explain himself he found himself in a jail cell under the house. For hours he had been isolated from Taki, he just wanted to see if she had it in her to love him and do whatever it took to love him. With Taki, Yuma treated her wounds the best that he could before he let her do as she pleased.

She ended up going into her wolf form and running around, she needed air and time away from Kou. She didn't understand just what his deal was but she knew that something was going on with him and she didn't like it one bit. As she ran around in the forest she found herself being tackled and pinned to the ground as she heard a growl.

"Found you sis, you thought you killed me didn't you?"

Taki's eyes widen as she found a way to knock off the wolf that was on top of her as she turned to her human form only to see her younger sister in her human form lying on the ground. "Amaya?! What the fuck!?"

"Those who were after us...our brothers. They healed me and told me in return I had to find you and bring you back." Amaya stated

"Not going to happen. I'm with Kou right now!" Taki growled pissed

"Yeah well say goodbye to him, you're never going to see him again. This is for the better." Amaya said as she got up dusting herself off.

"No it's not! Carla and Shin will only hurt me! Kill me even! You promised me you'd keep those two off of my ass!"

"Yeah I did...but I didn't realize that our brothers were so bent on getting the founders to be a clan again. Is Carla always so rough with women or was he just like that with me?" Amaya asked with her arms crossed

"He's always like that. Shin's no better." Taki said with a sigh

"Yeah...I know. Our brothers are waiting, get your things sis."

"No. That's not going to work with me." Taki said pissed. "Tell Carla and Shin I'm not available since I am bound to another."

"That's really not going to sit well with them, you know how they are."

"Yeah well I don't honestly give a fuck about them. What have they ever done for me to ever go back there?"

Amaya blinked her eyes a few times. "What do you mean by that?"

"You knew this entire time where they've been and where I have been. You could have told them where I was. I could have met them sooner, I could have been raised and born with them. But I didn't now was I? They've done me no favors so I won't grant them what they foolishly want from me." Taki said coldly before she walked off

"W-Wait Taki please don't leave me alone with them!" Amaya begged

"Suffer bitch, you made the choice to go up to them. Now deal with your consequences. I'm not going to be the sister I should be due to you being a complete brat this entire time." Taki said coldly

Amaya fell to her knees as she sobbed out. "Sis...please they're going to torture and kill me if you don't come back!"

Taki didn't turn around or stop walking at all, talking with her sister she realized what had come to conspire with her sister and brothers. Taking the 'give and take' life that Kou had engraved into her mind, she knew that she'd have to give him what he took from her. But she'd let him suffer a few days before she did so.

She stayed in the manor away from the cellar for a few days before she could hear Kou shouting for Ruki. She knew that Ruki, Yuma and Azusa all left, she was slightly weak from having Yuma feed off of her beforehand. But she got up from the couch and she went to the cellar, on her way she grabbed Subaru's knife from where she hid it.

She weakly made her way to the cell Kou was in, as Kou saw her his eyes widen. "Taki? You look terrible. Just what the hell has been happening?!"

"Why should it matter to you?" Taki said coldly as she sat on the ground leaning against the cobble stone wall. "For days you've tried to kill yourself, each and every time you tried I was there to stop you-telling you how much I loved and cared for you. It seems like you still don't believe that I love and care for you."

Kou looked to her sadly. "I just wanted to be sure you did, I didn't want you to go to someone else."

"Why would I do that? Why would I go to someone else when the one man I wanted to be with from the start finally saw me for who I am? I love you Kou. I love you so much it hurts to know you'd go so low. You've taken so much from me...but given nothing in return."

Kou's eyes widen as he saw the white knife that was in her hand. "Taki no! Taki please don't do it!" Kou said panicking

"Why shouldn't I? You've tried so many times to kill yourself, I think it's about time you find out just how precious I am. How unique I am."

Kou was trying so hard to get out of the cell, but it wouldn't budge. "Taki I do love you! Please...Please don't do this in front of me!"Kou said begging her as he had tears in his eyes

"I think it's time you get a bit of your own medication. I started with from the night you were placed here to have all three of those boys to drink out of me every few hours." Taki said before she removed her arm warmers showing her bruised and battered wrists.

Kou felt terrible letting things get so bad. "Taki please! Please let me out! Let me show you that I do love you!"

She shook her head as she placed the blade of the knife at her neck. Just with the sudden contact it burned her skin, but she didn't say anything about it due to the fact that she didn't want to seem weak in front of Kou. Kou placed one of his hands out towards her. "Taki please...Please stop torturing me like this! I don't want to lose you forever!" Kou begged "I'll be good, I'll listen to you. Just please stop this!"

She placed the knife away from her neck. "Is that so?"

Kou quickly nodded his head. "Please...Let me out. I can't take this! I hate being away from you!"

Taki used the knife to grab a hold of the key ring that was right above her before she made her way to the cell. Kou placed his hand over her face as he brushed his thumb against the side of her face. "I love you Taki. I really do mean that."
