"I don't know, this looks kinda wrong." I pout, looking at myself in the mirror for the 13th time in an hour.
Tree has now reached the point of where she's only staring apathetically at the wall and not saying anything.
"Taylor, you literally picked out this outfit for yourself? How can it look wrong? You look gorgeous as always, now let's go. Right now, there are no paps outside and if you want to get to Kelce's house unseen, we should go now."
With this she leaves the room, letting out a heavy sigh while she does so.
"Well, I guess this will have to do" I put on my beige Ralph Lauren Cap, the red windbreaker and give myself a little smile in the mirror.
"Everything's gonna be fine. He's just gonna talk you through some football stuff." I try to calm myself down.
"You ready, Taylor ?" Tree asks me and I swear I can hear her praying, when I walk past her to open the heavy frontdoor where my two bodyguards are waiting for me.
"Good Morning, Ms. Swift" they both say as I smile as them.
"Good morning guys, how are we doing today ?" I ask. I genuinely care about how my staff is feeling since they're giving everything every day to protect me and my family.
The least I can do for them is be friendly and give them a good pay check at the end of the month.
"We're both really excited. Big Kansas City Chiefs fans" Roger explains and grins the biggest smile. I look over at Chris who is equally as thrilled as Roger.
"I think, I gotta disappoint you for now. There's no need for you to come inside, but maybe after the meeting I can convince Travis to come outside and maybe get you a picture with him. How does that sound ?" I wink at them, heading to the black Rolls Royce standing in my driveway. In the reflection of the car I can see my bodyguards giving each other a fist bump and smiling like little boys.
Men. So easy to please.
I sink back into the beige leather seats of the car and close my eyes for a bit, enjoying the silence and the monotonous sound of the engine that comes with it.
I must've dozed off because the next thing I hear is my driver telling me that we've arrived.
"Thanks Harold, are the guys ready?"
"They're ready when you are, Ms. Swift." he says and gives me a soft smile. I lean forward, give his shoulder a little squeeze and get out of the car.
"No paps in sight, Ms. Swift." Roger lets me know.
We quickly walk over to Travis' house or should I say mansion?
I gotta say, this man has good taste. After entering through a high, black gate we are led into a beautiful front yard filled with flowers from every kind. I spot roses and carnations, poppies, lavender and sunflowers and I'm in absolute awe. The white marble front porch steps are lined with a black handrail which looks like it's taken straight out of the renaissance, little details everywhere. I stop to admire the massive marble pillars that keep the front porch roof up.
"You looking for something?"
A deep voice drags me out of my admiration process. I look up and there he is. He's leaning against the black doorframe with his arms crossed, smirking at me.Wearing a snug white shirt, that somehow fits him perfectly and dear god. Gray sweatpants. With a tiny Kansas City Chiefs logo stitched onto the waistband. As I turn around to look at him. His eyes slowly wander up my body, not leaving out anything, his mouth falls slightly open. Not even noticeable, if you weren't staring at his mouth. He clears his throat and raises an eyebrow, his almost gray eyes sparkling with amusement or..lust?
Blood rushing to my face and also somewhere else, I stumble over my words:"Um, yeah, no. I mean, looking for you. Obviously. Just admiring your garten, it's really beautiful."
"Thank you, not my work though. I've got people that have a plan. I just like to look at beautiful things." he says while his eyes hold my gaze for a second too long.
"So, um, we're gonna go. Call us when you need anything, Ms.Swift." Chris calls over his shoulder.
Fuck, I forgot that my bodyguards were still here.
"Uh, yeah. Okay, thank you. See you later."
"You wanna come inside ? I can tell you more about football than about flowers but I can call my Gardner, if you want." he chuckles at his own joke, takes a step back to let me in and closes the door behind me.
I walk into a big doorway with a sideboard to the left where he seems to keep his keys and stuff like that in a neat little leather box. The entire doorway is full with pictures of him and his family. His brother, his mum and everyone else. Him on the football field and him as kid.
