I've stopped counting how many times I have been looking at my phone in the past hour.
Pacing my hotel room, I decided to call Tree because, who knows, maybe she has more information than I do. I doubt that, but oh well.
"He's not here yet." She answered before I could even ask anything.
"How did you know I was gonna ask you that?"
"Have you seen the way you look at this man?" She mocks me.
"Fine, I'm just worried."
"He'll be there soon, the plane had a little delay but it won't take much longer and we'll take him right to your hotel. And on this note, our weather people told us that there might be a storm coming up. You might want to consider rescheduling the show if it doesn't get better."
"Tree, you know I'm not gonna do that. I love a good rain show and as long as the team doesn't have any problems with it, I sure as hell don't have any problems with it."
"Well, we'll see. I'll keep you posted about the weather and about your man of course."
After that she hung up the phone and I started pacing my room again, almost tripping over Meredith who lay sprawled out on the floor. I crouched down and picked her up, burrowing my face in her soft fur, humming a quiet melody to myself, when it knocked at the hotel door. I put Meredith down on my bed and wondered who it could be other than my dad, who just left my room ten minutes ago.
"Mhh, he must've forgotten something." I mumbled while hushing to the door. I look through the peephole and couldn't believe my eyes, when I opened the door with such a force that I stumbled back a few steps before I jumped into Travis' arms who lets his duffle bag fall to the floor so he can catch me.
"Hey princess, you missed me ?" He laughed while swaying us from side to side and caressing my back with his big, warm hands.
My face is nuzzled in the crook of his neck and all I am able to do is nod my head, because I can feel the tears form into my eyes and when I look at him I'm gonna start crying. He carried me back into me room and sat me down on the bed before he turned around to get the bags.
"Where are you going ?" I asked, my eyes wide and scared that he might leave again.
He turns around and places his hand on my cheeks. "To get my bags that are still in the hallway."
"Okay, but you're coming right back, alright? I'm watching you." I joked.
When he comes back Olivia and Benji had curled up next to me.
"So, I guess you're gonna meet a lot of family this weekend." I say while he sits down next to me, making himself comfortable against the headboard of the dark mahogany bed. I scooch next to him and put my head on his trained shoulder. Olivia curls up in my lap while Benji starts playing with Travis' socks.
"Starting with my literal children. This is Olivia Benson but mostly called dibbles." I point to the white, soft ball of fluff in my lap.
"That's Benjamin Button, but he goes by Benji and he seems to like you. He's the youngest and I adopted him, when I was making the "ME!" music video." Travis smiles and picks up Benji, who starts purring like a motor, when he pets his soft fur.
"And then there's also Meredith Gray but she doesn't like people, so I think she's probably under the bed and sleeping."
"So, it's nothing personal if she doesn't come up to me?"
"No, she'll get used to you but she's not the biggest cuddler. So if you want to snuggle better stick to these two." I say while rubbing Olivia's belly.
"Or to you." He says and kisses me.
"I missed you." I whisper between kisses.
"I missed you too."
Our kiss intensifies and I climb onto his lap, caressing his neck, while he lets his calloused hands slide down my waist. He is about to give me a hickey when it knocks on the door again.
"Oh for fucks sake." I mutter when I make my way to the door.
"Hi Tay, I'm sorry to disturb you." My dad say, his look slides up to my messy hair and my chiefs sweatshirt which is exposing one shoulder. No bra underneath.
"Hi Travis." He leans into the room and waves.
"Hello Mr. Swift, how are you?" Travis politely asks. He gets up and when he's standing next to me, his arm sneaks around my waist pulling me closer.
"I'm fine, thank you. How was the game ?" My dad asks and they start talking football.
"Um, I don't wanna cut you guys off, but dad, is there a reason why you came to see me ?" I interrupt.
"Oh, honey, I'm sorry. Tree called me and said she was trying to reach you about the weather again. They said it's supposed to be really bad and you should consider postponing the show."
I bit my lip and kept my head down while I'm trying to figure out what I should do.
My dad could see that I was struggling.
"You don't have to decide right now but you should do it soon. Tree said to call her as soon as you know. But Taylor? Nobody's gonna be mad at you, if you postpone. They know that you care and that you wouldn't do it if it weren't really necessary. Remember that, okay?"
He gives Travis a fatherly slap on the shoulder and pulls me in for a hug where I breathe in his familiar scent.
"See you later, Mr. Swift." I can hear Travis say when he closes the door, while I'm again pacing the room.
