St Augustine's Academy: the oldest, most prestigious school in Northern England, the alma mater of Prime Ministers, CEOs and people who are rich and nobody really knows why. Half a year's tuition alone could buy you an apartment in London. It's the kind of place Ada would never even dream of going to (most of her dreams consisted of nightmares or weird marshmallows jumping around with puppies) and yet here she was sitting on a train taking her hundreds of miles away from anywhere she'd ever lived.

The countryside sped past in a blur of green, Ada sighed resting her head on the window pane. Feeling the rumble of the engine on her forehead. Florence + The Machine blasting through her headphones as she flipped through the pages of 'The Woman Destroyed'.

She felt at peace, one with her surroundings. The feeling was short-lived, interrupted by the high-pitched giggles of the girls in the seats in front of her, their voices resembling a pack of hyenas, loud and restless.

"annoying too~" She mused internally, chuckling.

Unintentionally, she found herself leaning forward to eavesdrop on their conversation, temporarily forgetting about her book.

"Did you get new earrings?" Asked a shrill voice belonging to a petite brunette girl, freckles splattered across her upturned nose.

"Yes, do you like them? Daddy got them for me on his trip to Ibiza," Replied, a beautiful girl with golden blonde hair reaching her waist. She tilted her head to display the large glittering jewels dangling from her ears.

"Keaton will die when he sees you," assured a pretty redhead, a heavy layer of gloss lathered on her small lips.

The blonde looked over at Ada then," What are you looking at?" She asked, eyeing her shabby ill-fitting clothes.

"Careful, she's probably looking to steal. I bet parents don't even teach their kids morals, where she comes from." The redhead added casting a judgemental glare in Ada's direction.

Ada stood up incensed by their remarks letting her book fall to the floor, as she walked towards the compartment door  "I wouldn't know. Mine are dead." she said her face showing no sign of emotion as she flicked her chestnut brown hair out of her face. Slamming the door behind her as she stormed out into the corridor.

Walking through the corridor in a haze of frustration, Ada paid little attention to her surroundings. That was a mistake. She collided head-first into a solid barrier, lined with abs. Knocking her to the side. She looked up into cold green eyes glaring fiercely at her, her cheeks turning red the longer his eyes stayed locked on her.

"Sorry," She muttered, her voice a mixture of embarrassment and irritation, as she sidestepped him.

"Bitch..." She heard him mutter behind her.

"Excuse me?" Ada demanded her irritation growing," You got something you wanna say?"

He stepped closer, his voice dripping with contempt, "Yes, I do in fact. Trash like you should know its place" he sneered leaning down to loom over her. "Do you even know who I am?"

"Yeah, you're an asshole," Ada shot back before turning around and continuing to walk away. Is everyone here horrible? She asked herself.

The train arrived at the station in Wide Grove a few hours later, the crisp autumn air nipping at her bare skin, eliciting a pink blush to creep across her nose. The students scurried onto the buses that would take them to St.Augustine's.

Ada scanned her surroundings, eyes landing on the blonde girl from her compartment waving at the green-eyed idiot she'd run into earlier.

"Perfect they're made for each other," She thought, rolling her eyes.

Her train of thought was interrupted, as she was pushed up the steps by a sea of students. Ada crammed herself into the back corner avoiding the judgemental stares from students around her.

As she sat in her seat, she watched the last couple of students board the bus. Crossing her fingers, praying that the green-eyed idiot from before would be on a different bus. However, Ada never had much luck.

"Speak of the devil" She muttered as she saw his crop of messy black curls entering the bus.

Rolling her eyes as he engaged in conversation with the students at the front of the bus. Oh no! She thought, realising that he was heading towards the back of the bus where she was sitting, he stopped when he reached her row  "You're in my seat," He said coldly.

Ada raised an eyebrow, taking off her headphones, "So? I didn't see your name on it."

"Are you serious?" He demanded, anger creeping into his voice.

"No, I'm Remus Lupin." she retorted.

He scoffed looking over at the boys in the nearby seats waiting for their reaction, a boy with lank black hair partially covering his features, had a hand over his mouth trying to suppress his amusement. "Just sit here Keaton, " He said, angling his head towards the group of girls at the front, one in particular seemed to be trying very hard to catch his attention. Grumbling, he sat down in a seat in the opposite aisle to Ada.
