Reaching there, I parked the car and got out. I made way towards the entrance. It was bustling as usual. I pushed the glass door open and entered. Everyone was working as usual. Uncle Jerry was at the counter, waiters were serving the clients. They greeted me as I entered. I smiled at them politely and replied back.
My eyes searched for dad and I grinned inwardly as I found him at the second floor near the glass railing, talking to one of the waiters. I made way towards him. Reaching the second floor, I sneaked on his back with my lips pursed, careful not to make a single sound. I slowly put my hand on his eyes as I stood behind him. He gasped and froze.
"No way!" he whispered in disbelief and I couldn't control my grin. The waiter excused himself. I nodded at him as dad spun around and pulled me into a tight hug, careful of my shoulder. Making me giggle.
"you like the surprise dad?" I grinned up at him.
"the best!" he sighed dreamily. Acting dramatically. I snorted and a laugh escaped me as he lightly tickled me.
"but how's your shoulder honey? You took your medicine on time?" he examined my wound. His eyes full of worry.
"it's healing fast dad. Don't worry. And yes I did. How can I ever forget your words?" I sighed and smiled up at him. Rubbing his hand assuringly.
"my ever beautiful, considerate, loving daughter! I love you so much!" he smiled down at me lovingly. And I melted right there and then.
"I love you too dad! So much! You are my every thing!" I whispered to him as I smiled at him warmly, cupping his cheek. I hugged him tightly making him sigh in content. He relaxed as he hugged me to his chest.
I pulled back and showered his face with kisses making him grin.
"whoa! Sweetheart your gonna give the old man a heart attack with all this love!" he sighed as I pulled back. He placed the back of his arm on his forehead acting exasperatedly, making me bust out laughing. A mischievous grin on his face. But I pouted at his words.
"dad don't say that. You'll live a hundred years and more." I pouted at him.
" awe! Sorry baby! I won't." he caressed my cheek softly. "But 100 years?! I would look like a bent stick walking with another bent stick." He wiggled his eyebrows as he joked, grinning down at me mischievously. I burst out laughing. He laughed along and pulled me tight to his chest.
"you are far away from a stick. And you have grown more muscles from all that workout." I gasped as I felt around his bulging biceps. I looked up at him impressed. He flexed his biceps proudly showing off to me. Making me laugh. His biceps bulging out of his tshirt. he wiggled his eyebrows mischievously.
"and those ladies behind my back would support my statement." I grinned up at him signaling behind me with my thumb. He peeked from my side and snorted.
"meh. They are okish. But really not interested." He grinned at me.
"you are making them drool over you dad." I grinned up at him as I turned around and watched from above along with dad. one of them boldly winked at him. I cringed. My mouth fell open at her audacity.
"she's unbelievable! This one clearly lacks manners. So desperate! ugh!" dad rolled his eyes. Making me laugh at his actions.
I turned towards him and smiled up at him as he gazed down at me lovingly. I rubbed his chest comfortingly with my small hand. He sighed.
"But Dad you need to go out there and start dating." I whispered softly as I stared into his eyes worriedly. He kissed my hand and placed it back on his chest. Cupping it with his own.
