wonwoo walked out of the bathroom, carrying Dino in his arms. All the members were waiting for them.
"Is he alright?" Seungcheol asked, sounding concerned.
"He wants to go home. Can you call the driver, Hyung?" Wonwoo informed the leader, who nodded in response.
The members observed Dino with worry in their eyes but understood that it wasn't the right time to ask any questions.
"Take him home, wonwoo yah, we will be right behind you," Jeonghan said. wonwoo nodded.
"Take care of him, hyung," Seungkwan said to Wonwoo.
"I will" Wonwoo assured him.
"Driver is here at the backdoor. be careful there are media people everywhere" Seungcheol said to Wonwoo.
Wonwoo nodded and walked toward the backdoor. Throughout the entire time, Chan gripped onto Wonwoo, struggling to stay awake. Wonwoo got into the car with Chan, insisting he sit beside him, but Chan continued holding onto Wonwoo. He was afraid that if Wonwoo were to leave him, his thoughts would consume him entirely. he kept Wonwoo close, desperately clinging onto him, in an attempt to save himself from feeling overwhelmed.
The entire ride was filled with silence as Wonwoo's arms gently wrapped around Chan, softly massaging his sides. Wonwoo couldn't help but notice how thin Chan had become, making him feel small in his embrace. Chan held onto Wonwoo tightly, taking tiny breaths as he slowly calmed down.
"Hyungie," Chan's voice broke the silence, so soft that Wonwoo almost didn't hear him. He looked down, but Chan wasn't looking back at him; instead, his eyes were closed, with his head resting on Wonwoo's chest.
"Yes, baby," Wonwoo said softly, pulling Chan closer.
"I am sorry," Chan whispered. Wonwoo's heart broke seeing Chan so vulnerable once again.
"You have nothing to apologize for, Chan," Wonwoo comforted him. Chan didn't reply; he just let out a deep breath.
They arrived at the dorm, and Wonwoo took Chan to his room. By that time, Chan had calmed down. He sat on his bed, fidgeting with his fingers. Now that he had returned to normal, he knew Wonwoo would ask him what happened, and he wouldn't be able to explain, once again disappointing his hyung. He was snapped out of his thoughts when Wonwoo sat beside him.
"Hi," Wonwoo said softly, placing his hand on Chan's. Chan didn't meet Wonwoo's eyes, afraid of what he might find in them, so he just took Wonwoo's hand in his.
"Are you okay now?" Wonwoo asked, rubbing his thumb softly over Chan's skin.
"I am okay, hyung. Thank you," Chan said in a small voice. Now that his mind had become clear, the reality of what happened started to sink in. His hyung knew about him. They had seen how broken Chan had become. He felt the regret creeping in, the feeling that he had let his hyungs down, that he could not stay strong for them.
"Do you want to talk about it, Channie?" Wonwoo asked softly, being careful not to push him too much. Chan fought back his tears, hearing the voices that laughed at him and called him pathetic and weak. wonwoo could see him struggling.
"Come here," Wonwoo said as he removed Chan's shoes before gently laying him down on the bed. He settled down beside him, close but not touching. Finally, Chan met Wonwoo's gaze and found no disappointment, only love. It was a different kind of love, distinct from what they had shared until now.
"Talk to me, baby," Wonwoo said gently. Chan couldn't help but let a single tear fall from his eyes. There was something in the way Wonwoo looked at him that made him feel so vulnerable in his presence.
