Love Crisis

-Chapter 9-

Marinette's POV

My parents looked at me surprised when I nodded my head. "Well in that case..." My mom said, "You can have your phone back." 

How is having my phone back going to help anything? Well, at least I get it back. As my mom said that I put my dish in the sink and was ready to go up to my room. 

"But" My mom said, "I don't want whoever is coming in your room each night to come back here ever again, okay?"

I turned around and looked at her, "BUT MOM!" I said back.

"Oh, so there is someone coming in your room each night. Who is it?"

Shoot, I should've acted like I didn't know what she was saying. "NO ONE!" I yelled as I ran up to my room. I slammed the door as I put a chair over it so they wouldn't be able to get in. First, I couldn't talk to Adrien and now I can't talk to Chat?! Well, Chat as Marinette, but I still wanted to talk to him as my civilian form. 

"Can I talk to you now..." Tikki said to me. 

"What do you want?" I said as I sat on my couch, hugging my legs. 

Tikki came up to me and hugged me. We just stayed there in silence as I felt tears come down from my eyes. "Do you want to talk about this?" Tikki said to me. I nodded my head yes. We stayed there for over 30 minutes talking to each other. She kept reassuring me that everything was going to be alright, but I knew it was not going to be. 

I at least thank Tikki. I don't know what I would do without her. 

Some time passed by, and I went to the bathroom to shower. After, I brushed my teeth and went to bed. 

Can't wait for school tomorrow.

It was the next day. I got up and brushed my teeth, after I got on my clothes. When I was done, I went down to the bakery and walked out of the house without even looking at my parents. I didn't even bother to eat breakfast either. 

As I walked into the school, the first person I saw was... Adrien. Then, I remembered what Deliliah said to me. 

I saw Adrien look at me and smiled a bit then looked away quickly. I hope he's not mad at me about what happened yesterday. Then I decided to walk to my class as I felt someone drag my hand. I turned around and saw Zoe. 

"Marinette, I don't know how, but everyone can't keep your name out of their mouth!" Zoe said to me, "They all keep saying that you're Ladybug, but I don't believe the news."

"Yeah, don't believe it. I even got threatened to not talk to Adrien due to the rumor that's been spreading!" I said back to Zoe. I was glad that she did not believe the news, even though it was actually saying true news. 

"You know what? We're both going to Nadia Chamock right now. I don't like Adrien and all, but you shouldn't be threatened to not talk to him; it should be your choice whether you want to talk to him or not." 

I looked at Zoe shocked when she said that. I know she's nice and all, but the way she was acting like with Adrien made me seem like they would never forgive each other. 

"Marinette." Zoe said to me as she touched my shoulder and smiled, "Like how you said this is not the Zoe you remember, this is not the Marinette I remember. She wouldn't let someone threaten her and make them get away with it. I don't know what they exactly said to you, but you shouldn't let make you stop talking to Adrien. No one can tell you what to do, so prove them wrong." 

My eyes grew wider as Zoe said that. Maybe Zoe was right, I shouldn't let someone control me and tell me who should I talk to even though it might make me not be able to know who Monarch is, but I know I'll find out his secret identity one day. 

I smiled at Zoe and hugged her. "You're right, Zoe. I'll go talk to him right now." I said back to Zoe. 

"Now that's the Marinette I remember." Zoe said as she smiled and returned the hug. "It's best if I don't follow you since... you know what happened yesterday. Also, I never got the time to tell you this. I'm okay with being in love with Adrien and not me, I totally understand."

My eyes widened as Zoe said that and I smiled. "Also, don't think I'm not mad at him, I'm just trying to not get mad at him anymore, so I won't beat him up again." I laughed as Zoe said that. 

After, me and Zoe walked to the classroom. I saw Adrien standing outside of the door while talking to Nino since we still had 15 minutes until class. I looked at Zoe and she looked at me and smiled as she walked into the classroom. After, I walked over to Adrien.

"Adrien, can we talk?" I said to him. 

Adrien looked at me shocked, "Sure. I'll see you after class Nino." Adrien said as Nino waved at him and walked into the classroom. "What do you want to talk about?"

"Well, the first thing is that I'm very sorry about what happened yesterday. Even though Zoe might not say it to you, she's also very sorry too; she even gave me the confidence to go speak to you for various reasons why I didn't want to. Also, me and Zoe aren't a couple if you think that by the way; we're just friends." I said back to Adrien. 

Adrien smiled, "You don't owe me an apology, actually I owe you one. I'm sorry for acting like that to you yesterday-" Adrien said as he stopped. 

I saw him look up into the sky; I looked at where he was looking and saw an akumatized victim. "Oh, uhm I have to go to the bathroom." Adrien said as he ran. I ran to another location where no one was.

"TIKKI, SPOTS-"

"You really want to do that, Marinette?" Someone said interrupting me while holding their phone at me.
