"So you're telling me that I can gain money by killing monsters?"

She nodded.

"Alright. What are the perks on this armour and how do I use it?"

"Well, it has 'Infliction', which is where an enemy gets hurt as much as the damage it dealt to you."

So...basically thorns?

"It gives you a jump boost, a speed boost, and helps you attack faster. It also let's you handle weapons more effectively."

"What does that mean? You mean I can wield a weapon according to how it's supposed to be used?"

"Yeah, I guess you could say that."

That's kinda like adaption.

"The perk is called 'Adaption' by the way."

Bruh.

"Hmm...Oh, right! When it notices that you're about to die, it lets out a beam directly in front of you that pierces anything."

"Oh! That's why half of my wall went missing. Ya see, this lady was staying at my place, and she seemed to fiddle with it while I wasn't looking."

"Uh...Alright..." She looked at me strangely.

"Well, thanks for the information! Now all I need is to unlock abilities..."

She perked up and smiled joyfully. She seemed brighter now. She's cute. Uh...I mean nice. She's nice. Am I blushing right now..?

"I can help with that~! I could teach you a simple ability to get you going!"

I thought about it for a moment and tilted my head curiously.

"So like...is shooting fire outta my hands an ability?"

"Oh, you mean you don't know what abilities there are?"

Oh my gosh, don't tell me there's some sorta obvious way for me to look through an ability chart and I never noticed.

She reached out her hand.

"Huh? What do you want?"

"Well, your card, dummy."

"Ah, right." I handed her my stat card and she flipped it over. She then waved her hand over the back and an entire list appeared.

Are you kidding me.

"So, there are different ability classes. There's melee, ranged, magic, and support!"

Woah. Awesome~

"I think I'll check out the support abilities first."

"Of course! I'm guessing you wanna learn the healing ability? It's a pretty good starter for an adventurer."
