A guy named Wafflez trying to live in a world full of monsters. Thankfully, he lives in a peaceful and well protected village. Though, I guess that's too boring for him. He now strives to be an adventurer and learn new things about this odd world! (...
There I was, alone, fearful of the dark. I dreaded the beasts that lurked among the shadows of the forest. I gripped my katana's handle tightly as I slowly stepped through.
It was a normal day like any other. I woke up, got out of bed, and went through my daily morning routine.
I usually brush my teeth and take a quick bath to wake up, but I didn't feel like it today for some reason. I also wasn't hungry, so I skipped breakfast. I walked through the front door and was greeted by the shining light of the sun. It wasn't so easy on my eyes, but I had to adjust.
At that moment, I thought to myself, "Today's the day. Today, I will finally become an adventurer."
I headed off to the town square. I stood right in front of the fountain and looked around. I hate mornings. Always so loud.
I walked along until I arrived at the adventurer's guild and decided to apply for a change.
"Good morning." I said to the attendant.
"Good morning~!" She replied to me with a smile.
I smiled back and asked, "Is there any way that I could sign up to be an adventurer?"
"Of course! Here, take this card and place your finger on this slot."
I went ahead and placed my thumb on the empty box in the corner of the blank card. Suddenly, it started getting engraved with all sorts of numbers, letters, and information about me! What kinda magic is this...?
My stats were as follows:

What the?! I'm not that stupid! Well...I dunno. Maybe I am? Anyway, these stats seem so...minimal.
"Why am I so weak?" I asked the attendant.
"Oh no, that's actually average strength! You seem to be pretty fast, though. Your intelligence on the other hand..." She seemed to trail off.
I was embarrassed, but I took the card and decided to ask her about the 'Magic Level'. Whatever that was.
"Well, you see, you can learn different abilities according to how high your magic level is. You could also unlock more stats if your intelligence was...higher..." She trailed off again.
She snickered. Did she just snicker at me?! Damn you...
"Anyway, you could also defeat monsters and gain intelligence that way."
"How does that even work?"
"Well, you learn about more combat styles and what kind of enemies there are. So, I guess with everything you learn in battle, you level up."
"Oh, that makes sense. Well, thanks anyway. I'll be on my way. Have a good day!"
"Thanks, you too~!"
I waved at her and left the guild. I looked around and sighed as I realized that I probably wasn't gonna be able to do anything. I need a job. Damn, what jobs are there that are fun and high paying? Hmm...
