"D-Doctor Reiner, I ask you to stop constantly threatening me," Angelina's mind rebelled. She tried not to break eye contact as she replied to the psychopath's words despite her heart beating uncomfortably. "I will come, but I hope you stop bringing Paul's safety into this. He doesn't know anything."

Cold sweat ran slowly down Angelina's back as she waited for her interlocutor's reaction.

Reiner was silent for a moment. He stared at Angelina calculatingly before the tip of his lips curled into a sinister smile.

"Very interesting..."

He tilted his head, observing Angelina's fearful and confused expression. The man looked curious as Angelina stepped back, getting closer to the cage of the beast-man who had repeatedly committed brutal murders.

"I think I've changed my mind. Mr. B, I will pick up Doctor Angelina for tonight's event."

"Okay, Doctor," Mr. B replied without moving from where he stood.

Angelina's breath caught in her throat. Although she couldn't quite grasp the situation, her intuition unmistakably conveyed that Reiner's interest in her was far from a stroke of luck.

"Doctor Angelina, I'll pick you up around six in the evening. Dress up nicely because we're meeting with some important people," Doctor Reiner's smile grew brighter.

A low growl sounded from behind the bars. Angelina looked over her shoulder. Ramaik's eyes were yellow as the creature showed fangs that began to extend towards them.

"Don't," Angelina pleaded. "Ramaik, stop!"

Ramaik responded to Angelina's gaze by slowly returning to his human form.

"Amazing!" Reiner exclaimed cheerfully, causing Angelina to jump in surprise. She turned around and found her boss wearing a beaming expression.

"What you did was amazing. Doctor Fonda couldn't even control that Inyiak like you did," Reiner praised, "I think tonight is going to be a special night."

Angelina didn't answer. She wasn't looking forward to tonight's event at all. She wasn't thrilled about the complimentary words from her boss.

However, Doctor Reiner did not seem to care about her passivity. He winked at Angelina and said one last thing before leaving.

"See you in three hours."

Angelina frantically emptied the contents of her wardrobe onto the bed. It was almost six o'clock in the afternoon, but she still hadn't found a beautiful dress.

"Oh, whatever! I'll use this," Angelina decided in the end. She grabbed a long-sleeved black blouse and jeans of the same color before rushing into the bathroom. Angelina quickly cleaned herself up and put on the clothes she had brought earlier.

Angelina's decision not to undress in her bedroom turned out to be the right one. She almost squealed in surprise when she found her date sitting in the chair near her bed.

Doctor Reiner was casually gazing out at the late afternoon view from the giant window to his left. The man's appearance was a little different than usual. He applied pomade to his bangs and wore a dark blue long-sleeved shirt with black cloth pants.

Fortunately, the door to the room was wide open. However, Angelina still felt threatened by being alone with the psychopath.

"Ah, I'm sorry, I seem to have come too soon," said Doctor Reiner when he found Angelina standing in front of the toilet door and gave him a look of horror.
