"It's the small things like this, it really makes a difference" my mom said as she used her fork to pick up more food
"Yeah it does, I enjoy bonding with you" I said with all honesty, "I love my twin"
"Aw, I love you more"
Right now, I'm at my moms house just spending time with her. Lately, we haven't had any time together to bond.
We've just been talking over the phone and seeing each other at family events. It's crazy because when one of us is available the other isn't.
Life is lifing.
"I know you do" I said coming off a little arrogant
"I do" she confirmed again, "But I feel like you should come stay with me for a while"
"Come stay?"
"Just until Flau'jae comes home, and you know I'm here by myself. I need company and you do too" she said causing me to nod a little
She's right, I do need company.
"I do need company, but if I come stay you'll still be here by yourself. My bookings are back to back, I'm booked and busy"
"You gone be tired"
"I am, but it's keeping me busy and distracted. I've been thinking about retiring though" I said before her eyes widened enormously
She gave me a look which caused me to raise my eyebrow. Did I say something wrong?
"It's still early in your career, why?"
"Because I don't know" I said feeling a knot form in my stomach, "It's just a thought"
"Angel" she simply said with confusion on her voice
"Angel" I repeated now calling her by her name before she gave me a death glare, "Okay, I'm sorry"
I'm overly grown, and I'm still afraid of my mom. She's just too serious for me.
"Don't do that"
"I apologized already, so I feel like you shouldn't get mad" I said with a slight shrug before she shook her head
"I'm not mad, but you're not gonna be disrespectful. I'm your mother, so therefore, you will address me as such"
"Understood" I said jokingly but she didn't notice
"Now back to the retiring situation, why is it just a thought?" she asked before the knot formed in my stomach again.
"It just is"
"Angel if you're not gonna actually talk, you shouldn't of said anything about it. It's a reason behind it, so why?"
"Flau'jae wants me to, she thinks it's a good idea. She wants me to be a housewife, and I wouldn't mind being one"
"How you gonna be a housewife if she be working a lot too?" she asked causing me to snicker loudly
"It was just a quick thought"
"It's not a quick thought, you actually considering it. Ain't nothing bad about it, but I don't agree" she said being honest
"Yes I'm actually considering it, but it's really just a thought. Maybe"
"You grown, I can't really tell you what to do no more. Your life, your wife, your decisions just be wise"
I stayed over with her for a little while longer before leaving. If she would've mentioned me staying with her before I came, I would've slept over.
