WARNING: This story contains vivid descriptions of depressive thoughts, suicide/suicidal ideations, sexual assault, drug use, and explicit sex. All chapters will have a warning at the top with a specific warning of triggering content.

If you happen to have similar feelings to the main character in this story or know of someone who is struggling with depression or any other mental health issues, please reach out to or contact someone that is trusted and find a good emotional support source

Also, I would be more than happy to create and send out a list of support systems that are available at a low or at no cost.

Hello readers welcome to my story, "Moments In Between"! I'm still in the process of writing this so I'm reading along with all of you for revisions and grammar corrections, etc. Please bear with me and my frantic ADHD mind.

I have been working on the timeline and feel of this story along with a second 'book' that would be associated with 'Moments In Between' for a while now. I have personally struggled with mental health and endured trauma throughout my life. I've enjoyed reading as an escape, but I've also noticed that few short stories or novels directly speak on mental health and how it affects people internally as well as in relationships. I will be using a lot of my own experiences and relationships, past and present, as reference (characters in these stories are based off of a combination of multiple people and are dramatized at times).

This story is by no means a glorification or a romanticization of mental illness or suicide/suicidal tendencies. I have written this as motivational story from the perspective of a pessimist or with a "dark" way of doings so. The real message of this story is that everyone, no matter the mental state, is worthy of love in all forms, but they also need to be heard and seen. I'm trying to show my way of thinking that keeps me going and show that although life is hard, it is worth living.

I am lucky enough to have found a therapy center that has helped me through things for the past five years. Figuring out and untangling one's mental health is extremely hard, and this story is my way of showing my process in a fantasy/metaphorical way. I'm hoping that what I'm writing encourages people to find someone or a source where they can find support, but also, through my writing can see that they're not alone.

I currently don't have a set schedule of when I will post for this story since it's still new. I don't know how many readers I'll have, but I will try and write in between school and work. I'm open to and appreciate constructive criticism, but any hate or rude comments will be ignored.

Enjoy!
