This chapter is going to have have two different POVs to it. one with Vance then one with Finney and bad bitch Gwen.

Rinney:

Finney is sitting on the couch with his head resting on his knees watching tv and picking at his finger nails while Gwenny is brushing her dolls hair on the floor in front of him. Their dad was in the kitchen doing whatever their dad does. Finney could see the sun setting through the window. The pink sky gave Finney and nice feeling in his stomach. Finney peaked into the kitchen looking at his dad who's leaning his hands on the counter with his head hanging down. He'd been answering his phone calls and doing work from home all day. Finney understands so he leaves him alone.

The commercials come on after an episode of "school house rock!" Had just ended and the phone starts to ring. He hears his dad sigh and say "you have got to be kidding me" under his breath. Finney takes the initiative and decides he wants to help his father out. He pushes himself off the the couch "it's okay dad I'll get it"

"Blake residence?" He says in a questioning voice. "Hey fin! It's Robin" Finney turns his frown into a smile almost instantly after hearing robins name. Finney finds his presence to be very calming. "Hey Rob!" He says trying to not sound to excited. "I was wondering if maybe you wanted to come round my place tonight to help me with the stack of homework I have?" He knew by now that was code for I miss you. Finney scoffs in a joking tone and smiles a little more. But when he looks over at his father his smile fades. "Y'know my dad won't let me" he says in a whisper

He looks over at his father once more to see him starting at him with his eyes slightly squinted. "Who is it Finney" he says in a grumbly and quiet voice. "It's just Robin" he says. His father's face wrinkles and he gives Finney a gross scowl.

"Uhm Robin I'll call you back.." Finney says in a quiet tone. He didn't let Robin reply before he hung up.

Finney just looks at his dad waiting for him to start talking. Terrence takes in a deep breath and pushes it out lightly. "You know I don't like that kid" he picks up his orange juice to take a sip. "I know dad but he's my friend" Finney says trying to reason with him.

His dad scoffs. Finney looks at him seemly very confused "Finney, I know he's more than a friend" his dad says in a defeated tone. "What..?"He says in a soft tone.

In that moment Gwen comes out to the kitchen and starts pouring herself a glass of water.

"I saw you two kiss through the crack of you bedroom door a few weeks ago" Finneys mouth opens a little in shock. He sees Gwen turn around and look at him in the corner of his eye.

"No tha- ..that's not right we-" "cut the shit finney" he was cut off by his dad. He goes to speak again but stops him self "Gwen go to your room" Gwen walks away giving Finney concerned eyes. "Y'know I was gonna wait until you came to me with this, but you stood here and lied to me" he father says. Finney doesn't know where he's gonna take this.

All he can let out is a small "I'm sorry" his father shakes his head "I'm sorry doesn't do anything. Do you know the kind of image we as a family would have if people knew you were goin' around kissin' boys?!" His tone raises. Finney feels fear muster up inside of him.

"You're making it sound like I kiss multiple boys. It was just one.." Finney says feeling ashamed of himself. "Are you talking back to me" his dad says. It was a common phrase for him to say when one of his kids says something kinda smart.  Finney doesn't answer for a few seconds in result his dad slaps him.

Finney stumbles back a bit. "Jesus.." he whispers in a quiet tone "Is that attitude I hear?" "What?!" Finney raises his voice a little. "Did you just raise your voice at me?" Finney went quiet, afraid of what his father was gonna do "you ever fuckin' do that again I will smack the shit out of you. Again" Finney nods his head "go to your room. I don't wanna see your face anymore"

Once Finney goes back to his room he calls Robin. The phone rings a few times before he hears a woman's voice. "Hello?" It was his mom, he could recognize her voice anywhere. She was the one who answered the phone when he would call anyway. "Hi Mrs Arellano it's Finney" the thought of what he was about to say to Robin made his stomach hurt "hi Finney! I'm just gonna assume you're not calling for me" he giggles into the phone.

Finney hears Mrs Arellano yell robins name and a few seconds later he hears "hi Finn" Robin speaks in a mischievous voice, it's makes Finney smile "we need to stop seeing each other"

"What..?"
