George was barely in the 8th grade when it happened.

School was mostly a pain but it didn't matter. He had a friend who would stand by him regardless and help him along the way.

Clay Hale.

He had known the boy since 3rd grade so you could imagine they were glued to the hip.

Either of them left the other, especially Clay who soon changed his name to Dream 3 years later.

At school it was always Dream and George.

Almost everyday they would go to each other's house and do normal teenage boy things. Like play video games, mess around outside you name it. They would even stay up all night just to call the other. They never got tired nor bored of it.

But everything shifted in the 8th grade.

Dream's dad had finally been released from jail after serving a couple of years in prison. Dream had to more careful to be outside now. His dad believed that his enemies would do anything to get to him. Which involved his son being in penitential danger including those around him.

Dream had even warned George about it.

Maybe if the brunette never persisted, it would have never happened.

Him and Dream were both hanging out in the blond's room on his bed one afternoon.

"George..", Dream whispered.

"Yeah?", He looks at Dream confused when he noticed the change in the atmosphere.

"M-My mom said that it's best if I don't have any...friends anymore"

"What why!?"

"You know how my dad is like wanted and stuff. So there are tons of people after him. And there can be a chance that those people might come after me just to get to my dad"

"So why can't I be friends with you then"

"Your life could be in danger because of me!"

"Pff I'll be fine. Danger is my middle name"

"I'm serious George. You shouldn't be memeing about this"

"We'll be okay Dream"

"But aren't you scared to be my friend though?"

"Of corse not! Nothing's gonna stop me from being your friend", George exclaims as he tackled Dream into a hug. They both laugh as George sits up to look down at Dream.

"Nothing?", Dream whispers as he sits up as well.

"Nothing Dream. Besides, what's the worse that can happen", George says as he brings the blond into a hug.

The brunette was young and foolish to say something like that but he just didn't expect it to come back to bite him in the ass so soon.

George's aunt who he missed dearly came down from London to visit him for a couple days one morning. And boy was he so happy to see her again.

One night she had agreed to take him and Dream to a small candy shop that was located downtown.

While the 3 of them were walking along the sidewalk. George's aunt had noticed the same black van pass by them for over 2 times now. So she told the boys to hurry and make the trip to the store quick.
