Baby Problems

Chapter 10!

Faint sunlight went through the curtains of (YN)'s silent bedroom. It was still quite early in the morning and chilly inside the room. It was the perfect condition for someone to continue resting through the morning but the man who laid in the bed of the room couldn't.

He rustled, twisted and turned all around his bed yet he couldn't sleep. His eyes weren't helping either as no matter the amount of time he kept them closed, he just couldn't drift off to sleep.

The man has been waiting for the weekend to arrive. All his waiting seemed to be all put to waste as he couldn't even rest properly during the first day of the weekend.

He turned to hid bedside table and looked at the digital clock on his nightstand.

'7:31'

(YN) sighed looking at the time. Usually, he would be sleeping through most of the morning but today was a different day. He pulled himself out of bed and stood up groggily. He stretched out his arms before heading out of the bedroom door.

The apartment was still and silent, it could only mean that the ever so energetic Sana was still asleep. There was no sound that indicated that they had a baby around so maybe Haru was asleep alongside her.

He made his way to the living room then into the kitchen, enjoying the silence of the apartment as it lasted. After moving past the plastic bags filled with grocery items on the floor, he reached for his mug on the cupboard.

(YN) looked at the bags on the floor and made a mental note to sort out the items later in the day. He had to make good use of his time somehow. Picking out his coffee bag from the items in the bag, he began making his first drink of the day.

The spoon inside of the mug swirled and swirled the hot liquid inside as the aroma of coffee spread throughout the kitchen. He lifted the mug towards his lips and calmly took a sip.

*THUD!*

A loud sound of a door opening suddenly startled the man. His hand slightly jolted, making his coffee almost pour out of the mug. (YN) looked at the now open door of Sana's room and watched as his roommate dash out.

She already her nurse's scrubs on and her bag was already slung over her shoulder. Her black hair was tied into a messy bun as if she was in a rush. In her arms was a wide awake Haru clinging onto her shoulder.

Sana spotted her roommate by the kitchen then immediately walked over.

"Great, you're awake!" Sana exclaimed.

"Seems like you got called in for work today, Sana. Who's coming in to take care of Haru?" (YN) asked, taking another sip of coffee out of his mug.

He watched her lips contort into an awkward smile. Her free arm reached over the back of her head to scratch it softly.

"Well um...you, you're taking care of him today." She said, pointing a finger at him.

"Eh?.." (YN) dumbfoundedly mumbled out.

"Well, Momo and Mina are going to work too and with me out for the day, there's no other person capable enough of taking care of Haru except you." Sana explained now with an apologetic smile.

"What? How do you expect me to take care of him when he wouldn't even let me feed him."

"Oh I bet you'll do fine! Anyways, I'm already running late so take him off my hands." Sana suddenly raised the baby off her shoulders and placed it over his arm.

"Can't you just call one of your other friends to come be a nanny?" (YN) suggested.

"I don't really know who is free to come by today so please just take care of him for the day!" Sana connected her palms and shook them with her ever so effective puppy dog eyes.
