(Y/N) pov:
I stepped inside the Hotel and looked around. I got inside and shut the door behind me. It was unusually quiet, but the interior looked decent. I started to look around the lobby for a bit, until I stumbled across a family portrait of some sort.
I stepped closer to it. I inspected the picture closer. The picture had a short strange man with rosy cheeks and a mad wide grin, one with a girl in a fancy dress, and one was a tall, slender woman who had a creepy yet gentle disposition. I looked to the bottom left and it had the markings; King L. Morningstar, Queen L. Morningstar, Princess C. Morningstar. I curled my lip in reflection.
"L. Morningstar... Why does that sound so familiar?" I asked myself.
While I was indulged in my own thoughts, I felt someone's presences behind me. I turned around to see who it was. There was a creepy, tall man with a cane that looked like a microphone and a mad wide grin. His color scheme was red and pick. I kinda stepped down out of fright, though I wasn't that scared.
The strange man's eyes lit up as he continued to stare me down with a grin. That's when I started to get freaked out, but I still kept my cool.
Or at least tried to.
The man in red spoke up. "Hello there, you fine gentleman! What brings you here?" He asked me with a grin. His voice sounded like it was coming out of an old radio. He had a very cheerful vibe.
I rubbed my head and looked at him. "Oh, me? I, uh... I was just looking for a place to stay, is all." I replied with a weak smile.
"Well, you've come to the right place! Come with me, ol' chap! I'd like to introduce you to some friends of mine!" He said, wrapping is arm around me and dragging me with him. I didn't know what to make of the situation. I just tensed up and went along with him.
He and I sat down at the bar. The strange man snapped out of it and shook his head. "Oh right! Where are my manners? Alastor, my friend! And yours?" He said, offering me a hand to shake.
I hesitantly shook his hand. His slender fingers wrapped around my entire hand. "(Y/N) (L/N). Nice to meet you, Al." I replied.
"So, are you looking for a room in particular?" He asked me.
"Hmm... Not really. Any room, as long as it's not a death trap is good enough for me." I replied, sarcastically.
"Death trap, you say?" Alastor asked.
I looked at him with an uneasy look. I raised a brow at him. "What are you getting at here?" I asked him.
Alastor shook his head again. He then laughed. "Oh no! It was just a joke, my dear boy. There are no death traps here! How utterly, utterly ridiculous!" He said putting his hand on his forehead and laughing it off. This guy was staring to give me the creeps.
"Right..." I said with doubt, looking down to the side.
After a couple seconds, this cat-like creature approached us. "What'll it be, boys?" He asked with a gruffed tone, leaning against the bar counter.
Alastor and I looked at him. Alastor was the first to speak up. "I'll have Scotch on The Rocks! Make sure you take out the ice!" Alastor said with pure confidence.
"Any margaritas here?" I asked him.
"Uhh... I have coconut-" The cat said, but then I cut him off. "Yeah, any flavor is fine. Make sure you have it fluffy. I don't like milky cocktails." I told him.
"Well someone's picky..." The cat said sarcastically, walking away.
As the cat was getting our drinks ready, Alastor spoke up again. "Right! I forgot to introduce you two. (Y/N), this is Husk. He's a good friend of mine. Wouldn't you say, Husker?" I asked with a grin and a brow raised.
