Dong Xian walked back and forth in his bed chambers, a thin sheet of sweat broke out on his face, he lifts up his sleeve to dab at the sweat but it most likely wasnt helping. Liu Xin has fallen ill and Empress Wu desided that no one was aloud to see him except her and the servents. Dong Xian wasnt scared that Liu Xin wouldnt get better, he was scared the Empress Wu would kill him before he could even begian healing. Because of the forced marrage between Emperor Ai and Empress Wu, the two dont like eachother and often act like little kids around eachother. Dong Xian knows this because Liu Xin will not even talk aout her with anyone, even when she is there with them. Liu Xin was being controlled by his grandmother, and Empress Wu saw that as Liu Xin being weak. And so she also grew to resent him for that fact aswell. And so the, was supose to be happy, couple ended up just hateing eachother more then the world hated the poor god(there is a god of being poor in china, no one likes him because if you give him something he has to ruin it first before he takes it).

Dong Xian couldnt really understand why he was acctuly careing for Liu Xin, I mean, shouldnt Dong Xian be like everyone else and just care about his power and controll he has over the emperor? If he wanted anything then he could just take it, Liu Xin wouldnt care. But Dong Xian was an honest person, he didnt like to hurt other. So he took everything he was given, and never asked for anything more. Dong Xian didnt think to ask for anything more. He got embarrassed whenever he would get the finest of silks or the shineyest of jade. He would just take them with a flush on his cheeks, mutter a thank you and then run away. Dong Xian couldnt think of anything else to ask for.

Well Dong Xian was thinking, he some how was able to calm himself down. Dong Xian stood there, arms behind his back, looking off into the distence. Suddenly someone covered his eyes and exclamed, "Guess who!" Dong Xian laughed. He knew whose slender hands these were. He pulled Hong Yan's hands away from his face, and laughed softly, "You need to learn knew ways to surprise me." Hong Yan just shook her head. Hong Yan normaly found difrent ways to make a dramatic entrence, even back when she was a palace maid. Triping over her feet and droping something before doing a cool trick to pick up the thing again, comeing threw the window, she once stole a war horse to save a concubine who was having breathing issues before carring her in her arms and jumping off the horse in order to get to the doctors faster! Some times Dong Xian thought she was a hidden cultivatior or something.

Hong Yan crossed her arms and sat on the bed. Her robes were so prim and proper, Dong Xian loved this women! Hong Yan was the only none servent who the empress trusted enough to be in the room. No one but her knew why the empress was so scared of other people, but Dong Xian didnt bother asking anything. He sat next to his wife and gently grasped her slender hand, "How is the emeperor?" Hong Yan rolls her eyes again. Dong Xian acted like he was married to Liu Xin and not her sometimes! She huffs, "He is fine. The empress takes good care of him and she hasnt killed him yet." Dong Xian smiles softly and thanks Hong Yan, before giving her a little kiss on the nose. Hong Yan blushes slightly, but playful furrows her eyebrows in anger, "Hmph, you dont kiss me properly anymore.." Dong Xian laughs and gives her a deep passionet kiss on the lips. But since he isnt kissing Liu Xin yet I cant say anymore on the matter.

Liu Xin sat sick in his bed. Layer and layers of blankets covering the man. He was too sick to start a fuss so he didnt. Liu Xin wasnt one who got sick alot. He often times never caught a cold or anything, he could go outside with wet hair and be perfectly fine! So he wasnt use to the bad feeling of being ill. He sighs as a damp rag was placed on his forhead. Empress Wu was acctually pretty good at taking care of people. And she so far hasnt become annoyed enough to want to murder Liu Xin. Empress Wu sits next to the bed, gently trying to get the fevor down. Liu Xin smiled weakly, he didnt want to outright say thank you, but he wanted to know that he was happy Empress Wu desided to do this for him. The two went way back, and were childhood freinds. But back then Empress Wu was clam and barely had a temper. No one knows why she suddenly became the way she is, whether something bad happened or she just changed, no one knew. Liu Xin shifts slightly, he didnt like sleeping on his back. Its often been complaned tht Liu Xin moves too much in his sleep. So many of the concubines who spent the night with him would sneek out once he fell asleep and go back to there bedchambers. Only the new ones knew how bad sleeping with the emperor was. Empress Wu also didnt like this, so of course she had a seprite sleeping place. Empress Wu huffs and puts a hand on Liu Xin's chest, "Stop moving." Liu Xin didnt want his throat riped out, so he stoped moving. He got the worst of Empress Wu's temper, he had many scars from her lashing out on him. He knew how bad she was when mad, but still, he didnt get rid of her. He let her keep her spot as Empress, mother of the dynasty.

Emperor Ai wasnt use to being sick. He wasnt use to being stuck in bed.

But right now the only thing on his mind, was Ding Xian.
