Empress Wu's angry yelling ranged throw the palace. She grabbed a fist full of Dong Xian's now messy hair and dragged him from the bed. After years of beatings well living on the street, Dong Xian didnt feel pain unless it was emotional. So he only woke up because of the sudden yelling and sudden harsh yelling. Dong Xian barely picked up the words cause of how loud she was, but it sounded like she was pissed at him for sleeping in the same bed as Liu Xin. Dong Xian barely struggles as he is dragged around the room well Empress Wu rants on and on.
Dong Xian didnt know how to react, he was still sleepy and he has never really been yelled at like this before. But suddenly, something that Enoress Wu said caught his attention. "How dare you sleep with the emperor insted of your wife! You should be pleasuring her first, not turning her away to flirt with another!"
Wait..
What?
She was onyl mad cause Dong Xian wasnt sleeping with Hong Yan?
Dong Xian's scalp started to burn. So he really started to struggle. But as he clawed at Empress Wu's slender hand, she didnt budge. Insted she slapped him, still yelling. Yet, despite that, she was still beautiful. Spit didnt even fly through the air, her face didnt even turn red. Dong Xian took the slap, he has been hit alot through out this year. One more wouldnt hurt. But the sound of skin against skin suddenly woke up Liu Xin.
Dong Xian was too busy. He hasnt felt this way in years. He was always the most nervous and stuttery guy you'd ever meet. So then...why did he feel nothing right now? No pain, no hate, no sorrow, nothing..Liu Xin rushed out of bed, almost falling over. He ran over and swiftly punched her royal majesty. Liu Xin was never known as a truely violent person, then again he has only been in power for about a year now, but at this moment he was too shocked to think. Liu Xin thought this was another assaination atemp on him, he didnt realize it was his own wife. Empress Wu's perfict face was stained with her own blood, she stumbled away and let go of Dong Xian who fell to the floor. Liu Xin stumbled forwerd, unsure on who to comfort. But in the end, the disorented man stumbled and fell into his wife, holding her in a tight embrace. This wasnt something he normaly did. But he was ashamed.
The room was smaller then the emperor's main bedroom. This was his winter room, located in the warmest part of the palace so he wouldnt get too ill during winter. So they thought it was the best place for him to recover. His normal bedroom was in the cooler side of the palace for summer so its cooler. The two rooms were conected by Liu Xin's garden, just to prove how bit his garden truely is. The plum blossom tree, which id the biggest tree in the whole palace, was the half way mark. It was more of a secrite maze rather then fully being a connected thing. There were some splits.
The room was simple, the window was over his bed, the selfs connected to the bed were filled with vases and prized fingures he has. His favorite is the set he has of the 5 protectors of the elements. The bed had a nice golden silk blanket plus a fur blanket cause he is ill and needs to sweat it out, and a hard wooden head rest. The window was very hard to open, so it rarely was open. But the now dead crown prince managed to break the lock on the window so it slid open easly to make the emperor ill. But those of the inner palace managed a way to keep it fully shut.
Empress Wu was stunned even more, she didnt know if she should yell and cry or just hug him back. So she made a soft grunting sound and patted Liu Xin's back. Liu Xin's long inky black hair shined in the sun seeping through the window. His white under robes barely kept hin warm against the cold winter. He was shivering ever so slightly. Empress Wu gathers herself slowly, she clentches her fists, her long red nails digging into her palms. She pulls away and turns to Dong Xian, "Take care of our poor emperor. But do give your wife more attention." Her voice was surprisenly soft, it was slightly scary. Dong Xian nods slightly, a little dizzy. He quickly sits up though, and lets Liu Xin fall into his arms.
