mr dubois sat in his office, munching on some snacks as he watched the bordeaux vs paris saint-germain feminine match.
his eyes set on elisa de almeida who was now passing to her teammate.
"elisa de almeida... didn't jia get her as a client?" he said to himself.
jia barged in right after that, she had left her bag with her documents in it, "why did you touch my stuff? that's against the law." she said as she walked over to the couch where the coffee desk was, picking up her bag and putting all her documents and belongings back in.
"it's also against the law to barge into someone's office without permission," he replied - eyes still fixed on the tv.
"i'm here to get my stuff back," she said and turned her head to look at him but when she saw elisa wiping her face with her t-shirt on the screen, her eyes widened as she took the remote to skip back and pause it.
"that's her..." she mumbled to herself.
"how's elisa doing?" mr dubois asked.
"you know elisa?" she turned to him.
"isn't she going to become your new client?" the man asked. "wow, i can't believe she signed with you."
"ah mr dubois!"
"such a good defender and an incompetent agent... what a waste."
jia bit her bottom lip out of frustration and sighed, "i'm going now!" she stood up and grabbed her stuff - heading towards the door.
"i have a condition."
jia stopped in her tracks, turning her head.
"about partnering up."
the girls eyes widened before she turned around fully, "what?"
"show me what you can do."
"huh?"
mr dubois put his hands on his knees and stood up from his seat, walking towards her, "prove to me that you're a good agent, show the world what a pro elisa is even after this defeat their team had. you can't be my partner if you can't even do that." he said the last sentence in a mocking tone, and when he didn't get a reply, he continued: "you don't think you can do it? forget it then."
"i can do it, why would i sign with her if i can't redeem her? piece of cake."

elisa balanced the plates with the customers orders on them on both of her hands.
"you were recruited because we're suddenly short of hands, please work hard," the manager said.
"yes, i just need this to stay on my feet until training starts again," elisa said as she walked past him, stopping near the indoor bar - admiring the screen with audrey hepburn on it.
that was until a woman came in the way to walk to her table. elisa's eyebrows furrowed, "bathroom girl?" she asked herself quietly.
jia had her gummy smile on her face as she walked through the restaurant to her booked table. once she went past elisa, the footballer had to do a double take, shocked at the fact they had encountered each other again.

jia finally reached the table where marcel was waiting.
"you're here," camila said as she pulled her chair out for her.
"you came early," she replied as she sat down, muttering a 'thank you.'
"you said you had to tell me something?" jia asked once camila finally sat down.
"president jean has proposed to me to be the law consultant of the leagues/divisions."
jia gulped and looked down at her empty plate. her and camila weren't in a relationship, sure maybe they found each other cute the odd few times but, none of them had those feelings for each other to want to be in a relationship.
"if you don't want that, i'll turn it down."
jia looked up at her and pressed her lips into a thin line, leaning her chin against her hand on the table, "do you like it?"
camila sighed, "yes i do."
"what do you like?"
"mmm, football?"
jia laughed softly, "go on to do whatever you like, i'm fine with it. actually camila, i hope you don't take any offence but, we don't really have those romantic feelings for each other, so i'd appreciate it if you didn't ask me if i'm okay with your job options from here on. after all, i wouldn't want to be the reason you've been held back and missed lots of opportunities."
after that, jia scanned the room to look for a waiter, eyes widening when she made eye contact with elisa who was walking towards their table with a notepad and pen.
marcel knitted his eyebrows together in confusion as he looked towards the direction the girl was looking at it, his eyes widening too once he saw the football player. she was quite well-known, so what was she doing working here?
"elisa de almeida?" marcel said to the footballers face, "i didn't think we'd meet here."
elisa just looked down.
"huh?" jia replied, "you know each other?"
elisa cleared his throat and muttered out quickly, "someone will come to take your order," before walking away hastily.
jia was confused, "hey, wait- how did you get to know elisa?" she asked marcel.
"you know him too?"
meanwhile, elisa was in the bathroom - splashing cold water on her face, "what's.. marcel doing here?"

flashback:
elisa thanked god she didn't take after her father. she thanked god her fathers past of debts, loan sharks etc didn't follow her after his death.
camila's father ran around in order to appeal elisa's fathers tens of cases, whether it was to do with drugs, fights etc. it seemed he didn't focus on himself as he tragically suffered a heart attack and passed away.
and thus, camila became elisa's sworn enemy.
