sorry it took a week to get to this i've been busy with school and studying AND keeping a social live so i haven't had this on my priorities but i swear im wrighting
y/n was sat on a rock at the quarry, folding everyone's clothes while they stood at the edge of the cliff and played loogie, a game that discuated y/n because of the sounds and the idea that they were gonna jump into the water that they just spat in
"allright… who's first?" Bill said, stopping Richie and Eddie from arguing, Beverly walked up and shared a look with y/n, silently agreeing they would go together, and first "we'll go!" she called out, dropping her bike and taking off her dress, then running and taking y/ns hand. The two jumped off the cliff together, y/n wooing as he fell, holding his breath right before he fell, opening his eyes before his head got out of the green water "come on!" beverly called up to them, stan swore under his breath right before bill jumped in, wooing the same way u/n did before he hit the water
The rest of the group eventually jumped in, y/n staying near enough to Eddie, just enough to make up for not seeing each other yet today. then richie splashed eddie and y/n and y/n splashed richie ans stan and stan splased y/n and beverly and beverly splashed stan and bill and so on then out of nowhere beverly was on bills shoulders and richie was on bens, eddie was trying to dunk stan, making y/n laugh
He didn't even notice that the game had ended till he felt someone swim under him and stand up, he looked down and saw bill, moving them towards ben and richie "oh shit" y/n exclaimed, his voice cracking and the game started, "oh i'm winning i'm winning- we already won!" richie yelled, looking rather proud until bill pushed his foot up and richie fell, getting a cheer out of beverly and y/n untill richie pushed his opponents foot. y/n started to fall and heard richie yelling "what the fuck was that!?" then y/n hit the water, his y/f/c hair flowing around his head, he watched a turtle swim past then he got his head out of the water "it was a turtle" bill said to richie, giving him a nod
the group were sat on some rocks, drying off after swimming and playing about in the water, all the boys were sat on some higher rocks, staring at beverly, who was lying on a towel drying off, except for y/n, who was zoned out, looking at bill, he wasn't sitting ether, he was stood behind eddie, he often was, he was often called a bodyguard for him, 'bust a move' by young mc was blasting from bens radio. The girl looked over at them and they all panicked, looking anywhere but at her, y/n's unfocused eyes not moving from bill until he heard Richie yelling "news flash ben! school's out for summah!"
"oh that? that's not school stuff" Ben said, watching Richie take a postcard out of the bag "who sent you this?"
"no one! give it- no one" ben said, shoving the letter to the bottom of his bag "what's with the history project?" richie asked, holding a blue folder "oh well when i moved here i didn't really have anyone to hang out with so i just started spending my time in the library" he said, it made y/n feel bad that he had to go the entire school year on his own, he would hate to have to do that and was happy he didn't "you went to the library? like- on purpose?" richie said, looking at y/n who was perched on a rock next to the radio, right behind Eddie, trying not to laugh "oh, i wanna see" beverly said, sitting up and making her way over to bill, who was looking at the folder "what's the blackspot?" stan asked, looking at it "the blackspot was a nightclub that got burnt down years ago by that racist cult" eddie said simply, looking up at stan "the what?"
"don't you watch geraldo?"
"edds geraldo's bullshit"
"y-yoh-your hair" bill said, looking af beverly, a small blush on his face, making y/n jealous "your… your hair's beautiful, beverly" ben said, also blushing "oh, right… thanks'' beverly said, pushing some hair behind her ear and bill looked back at the folder, side-eyeing ben "here, pass it" richie said, holding his hand out for the folder he already looked at
"Why is it all murders and missing kids?" richie asked, y/n wasn't really interested so he started to mess with eddies hair as he looked at it "derry's not like any town i've ever been in before, They did a study once, and it turns out people die or go missing six times national average" the new information disturbed the group "you… read that?" Beverly asked, holding her sunglasses and looking at Ben "and that's just grown-ups, kids are worse, way way worse… i've got more stuff, if you wanna see it" he offered, the group all looked at eachother, richie at stan, stan at bill, bill at eddie, and eddie and y/n at each other, y/n's hands on ether sides of eddies face, eddie looking up at y/n and y/n looking down at eddie, both of them with nervous smiles all of them silently agreeing they all wanted to check it out, especially bill
