There were many different expressions in the white room. Some were confused and others were shocked. The white furred mammal, meanwhile, was laughing at the look of confusion on Killua's face.
"Did you not know of your Quirk?" The detective finally gave into his confusion, successfully bringing everyone's attention back to himself. "I mean, it does seem pretty obvious..." He trailed off.
"Well the last time I checked, I sure as hell wasn't like this..." He said, trying his best to stay as calm as he possibly could, cheeks tainted a light red out of embarrassment. He ran his fingers through his hair, relishing in the grounding feeling it gave him as Nezu had now resorted to covering his chuckles with his teacup, which he had pulled out of thin air. 'The people here are really weird' The white haired boy thought to himself, finally regaining my composure and letting his hands fall to his sides now. The bands around his body had been reeled back to their owner at some point.
"What do you mean?" The detective asked him.
"I mean, that I most definitely did not have a... well, these! Not before I just fell from the sky"
"Wait, what was your Quirk before you got those, then?"
"I don't know..." Killua decided not to show them Nen. Or at the very least, not yet. Now that he knew that he apparently had one of those Quirks as well, it would be unwise to show them another ability. It would just single him out, and honestly, he did not trust them enough to show them anything like Nen just yet. And he wasn't even sure if he ever would.
"You don't know? Were you Quirkless before?" The detective questioned him, still kind of shocked by the revelation of the white haired boy not knowing of his Quirk. "Are you a really late bloomer?"
"I have literally no Idea" Killua answered truthfully, taking his hands away from his face and looking to the floor, a somber look on his face, which was, of course, fake. As long as he got my information, he didn't care what he had to do. Except for killing, he promised himself he would only kill if absolutely necessary. 'For Gon' he thought, and it was true. He promised himself that he wouldn't kill, and he'd do his damn best to keep this promise.
"True..." The detective mumbled, and a heavy silence fell over them. Nezu seemed to be thinking hard, his face scrunched up in concentration. The detective was still just shocked, trying to understand what the actual heck is going on.
Meanwhile, Killua was also thinking. What specifically was he thinking about? Gon. What did you expect...
"The problem we're facing is about what to do with you. We have practically no idea where you're from and you don't remember much. So, I have a proposition. If you agree, I would like to have you take a physical examination at my school. The schoolyear should begin in-" He checks his fancy watch. "-about 3 hours. Should you pass, I'm sure we can fit another person in the hero course. And even should you not pass, we would of course still help you get home. You'd have to live with one of the teachers, but I'm sure that can all be arranged."
'Heroes, huh? If only they knew how far I am from a hero... But what choice do I really have? I desperately need information, and apparently, he's the principal of the number one hero school, if what he said last chapter is to be believed... And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, this could be a way to redeem myself, even if just a little.'
However, there was one more concern...
"Is there a uniform?"
"Yes, of course!" Nezu's chipper voice responded.
