Disaster! That was the only way to describe the following day. We did as we were told. We sat in the conference room of Ballard Agencies and spoke to each of the photographers that Emily had organised for us to meet.
I could honestly say that I didn't like a single one of them. They were all so fake to me and it pissed me off to no end. Seth, Theo and Eddie all looked just as bored as me. After the last one left, we all got off our chairs and headed in different directions around the room. Not thirty seconds later, Emily came rushing into the room.
"Well? Which one?" she asked eagerly.
"None of them!" I growled and walked over to look out of the window. It was raining, which seemed to match our dismal moods.
"You're kidding right?" Emily gawked at me.
"Nope. There wasn't a real person in the lot of them. They were all so freaking fake and too star struck to even talk straight." Emily looked around at the other three, who all nodded in agreement. She shook her head and huffed.
"I can't believe that out of eight of LA's finest photographers, you lot couldn't choose just ONE!"
"That last one was pretty cute." said Eddie.
"Agreed and her portfolio was good." added Theo.
"But she was such a freaking bimbo!" Seth said as he slapped his forehead. The rest of us murmured our agreement.
"And her voice! I thought my ear drums were going to burst." I figured I'd better add my two cents worth in. The other three laughed and Emily shook her head again.
"So none of them?"
"No!" we all said in unison.
"You lot are unimaginable! It's only two bloody weeks guys! Can you not just put your bullshit aside and live with one of them for just two bloody weeks?!" We all just shook our heads. She turned tomato red and growled. I heard Seth snort and saw Theo smirk out of the corner of my eye. I had to bite my tongue to stop myself from laughing. She looked like a spoiled little princess. "Just piss off!" She yelled. "Get the hell out of here." We didn't need any more pushing. Seth opened the door before Emily spoke again. "But I want all four of you back here at 9am in the morning with a choice. Just suck it up princesses and choose one!" She stormed over to us and pushed us out of the door, literally kicking Eddie up the arse, before slamming the door behind us. As soon as we got into the elevator, we all burst out laughing. We'd only just composed ourselves when the doors opened on the ground floor.
Another crowd had formed outside, so we smiled and waved as we walked to the back entrance. Once inside the SUV we all just sat in silence.
"What's the hold up Scottie?" I asked our driver, when the car didn't start moving.
"You lot haven't told me where you want to go yet."
"Oh, shit. True. Uh, how about that little Italian place near the hotel?" I suggested to the boys.
"Sounds good." agreed Eddie. The other two nodded.
"Tomina's it is." says Scott as he starts the car.
We spent the car ride in silence and didn't really talk until our meals were in front of us. Tomina's was always really good about putting us into a private room so that we didn't have to deal with unwanted attention while we were trying to enjoy our meals.
You'd think in LA, there'd be more places like this, but they were actually few and far between. Most pretty much just told you to suck it up and deal with it. I hated the big cities and couldn't wait to leave LA. We had one more show here, before heading down to San Diego to play at the Valley View Casino Centre.
