C A T A L I N A

My body is held in place by a pair of warm hands, the warmth traveling throughout my entire body.

Oh man. Oh boy, this feels lovely. I just want to kiss him.

"Baby," Lorenzo mumbles, his voice drenched with sleep.

"Hi," I giggle as I cover my lips with my hands. He called me baby... I could die happy now.

Lorenzo turns my head over so that we're both looking at each other.

The moment is filled with a serene silence, allowing my nervous system to completely unwind. Neither of us utter a word, we simply allow the silence around us to hug us like a warm blanket.

His eyes looked so relaxed, so happy. It seemed as though the storm that had inhabited his soul had finally calmed down, allowing his eyes to display the serenity that surrounded him.

"It's so hard to believe you're real, you're a doll, baby."

Does he want my heart to fall out of me?

Gosh.

Thank you, God, for such a lovely love. Such a sweet man. And such a beautiful life.

"We are supposed t-to take things slow, mister..." I attempt to hide myself in my hands, the heat that coated my face made me embarrassingly aware of my blush.

He makes me so shy.

"You're the one who came to the guest room because you were too scared to sleep without me."

I gulp, "Well, I'm only a girl! And- and"

"Shh. I'm only teasing, sweet girl." Lorenzo picks me up in his arms, my hands quickly wrapping around his neck.

I allowed my fingernails to graze over the tattoos that covered his body, the intricate shapes and symbols allowing me to replay our memories like a picture book.

Lorenzo slept in the guest room and he let me sleep in his room during the night.

I didn't want to sleep alone but I thought I had to hold my ground. After tossing and turning the entire night, I guiltily padded my way into the guest room, instinctively cuddling myself into Lorenzo's safe arms.

I love him dearly.

It's as though my entire life has led up to the moment of us meeting and learning to love one another. How is it that our red string has connected us together since we were little kids?

"Today I want you to laugh and smile, I want to make you happy," he finishes his sentence with an abundance of kisses all over my face.

He kisses me like a dog.

Dog man.

"You already make me happy everyday! I'm always smiling and laughing."

"Kiss."

My eyebrows raise at the demand at an attempt to look like a fierce kitty to hide how shy I feel.
