Everything had settled down between Adam and Lucille. For the rest of the evening after discovering that Adam was getting paid to follow Lawrence Gordon around, Lucille was pretty shaken up– to say the least.

She ended up going back to her own apartment later that night so that she could calm down. But she didn't get a single hour of sleep, her brain could only focus on the potential danger that could come out of this job. She didn't want to say it, but she knew deep down that something was going to happen. There was no possible way that Adam could walk out unscathed, even if she had convinced him to quit the job, the damage was already done. There was no good ending to this scenario, and there was nothing Lucille could do. She could only hope that she was wrong.

The next afternoon she went back to Adam's after finishing up her classes for the day. They hung out at the apartment, Adam wanted to clean the apartment and Lucille was more than happy to help. By the time they were done, it was near time to get food.

"Hang on." Adam spoke to Lucille, causing her to stop walking towards the door. "I need to grab something."

Lucille watched as he went into his bedroom and came back with a stack of red paper.

"Scott wants me to hand out flyers for his next show." Adam explained. "I told him I would..."

"Yeah..." Lucille snickered.

She walked over and took one of the flyers from him. It had old performance photos printed on it, with WRATH OF THE GODS written in what looked like scribbles.

"Nobody's gonna take one of these." She added. "But good luck trying!"

Adam rolled his eyes. He stepped into the darkroom and grabbed his camera, because of course, he couldn't leave without it.

"Hold that flyer up." He said.

She did as told, holding the piece of paper up. Adam raised his camera and took a picture of her, which made her laugh.

"What was that for?" Lucille asked as they walked out into the hallway.

"I just like taking pictures of you." Adam grinned.

The two intertwined their hands together as they started down the staircase. As they were talking casually, a woman began to pass by them. Lucille immediately noticed her because of her dark, spiky hair. She looked pretty cool. The woman kept her eyes glued to the stairs.

"I like your hair!" Lucille called to her.

This caused the woman to pause and turn back to the couple. She seemed caught off-guard by the spontaneous compliment.

"Thanks." She replied simply.

"Yeah, it's very rockstar." Adam pointed out.

Lucille gave him a look out of the corner of her eye, knowing exactly where he was going.
