'minho.' jisung whispered.
'yes?'

'why do you care minho. you don't need to help me. i don't even know you and just dumped all my trauma on you. you should think i'm a selfish asshole.'
'Han Jisung.' minho let go of jisung's shoulders, slipping their hands together and intertwining their fingers. 'please, listen to me.'
jisung nodded, tears stinging his eyes again. minho used jisung's last name and he didn't know how to feel. he didn't want to carry the name of his revolting father but it was either that or Lee Jisung.
'i don't care if i don't know you, i'm not a monster. you're a hurt person and i'm responsible for you now. i'm your husband. we can get to know each other slowly and i swear by my life that i'll never do anything you're not comfortable with. but i'm your partner by law whether i met you yesterday or i've know you for my past nine lives. you're such a beautiful person jisung. your heart is so strong. i want to protect you. will you let me?'
'you want to take care of me?' he whispered in disbelief. the youngers eyes shook with emotion, a tear sliding down his face. minho cupped jisung's cheek, brushing his thumb against the skin, wiping his tears away. 'of course i do,' minho whispered back with equal gentleness.
'i think i need to breathe.' jisung blinked, looking at the floor. the older used a featherlight touch of jisung's jaw, bringing his gaze upwards. jisung's heart beat a pace faster when his eyes met with minhos dusky, chocolate colored eyes with his own. he felt like time stopped for a moment as minho lowered his hand from his cheek. 'sure thing.' jisung's daze was broken when minho spoke. 'the Han isn't far from here, if we go out now we can avoid the morning traffic.' minho held jisung's hand, helping the unbalanced boy off the stool he was on. 'that's only if you want to of course,'
'that sounds nice,'
