* RAGE * A TAMY STORY.

Chapter 1. The Crash

While on their way home from an auction, Amanda was sat in the back seat of her father's Truck. Her mother was sat in the front and her father was driving.
She was so fed up with her father's moaning about it all being a waste of time, no horse was good enough for her. She was too fussy, all this horsey voodoo was a waste of time and he wasn't going to do it again.
I'm Sorry Dad she said, I want a horse , but there has to be a connection Dad.
Yes I agree with you Amy love, Marion said.
Well at least Mum understands me unlike you.
Understands you, NO SHE SPOILS YOU.
I do not Tim, at 18 yrs old, Amy knows more about horses as she gets older than even I understand, and I'm supposed to be the Horse Whisperer. She and the horse need to have that connection.

Tim unclicked his seatbelt then turned round and started pounding his daughter with full force. He was in so much rage he went red in the face, Marion was trying to push him off her realising that he was infected with this airborne parasite.
Tim suddenly stopped and turned round to drive with blood all over his hands but it was to late, he had a massive attack and died instantly. Marion turned round to look at Amanda as there was nothing she could do to stop the truck from hitting a tree. Tim was already dead, Marion and Amy were critical, when Tim went after Amy he'd taken his seat belt off, he went through the windscreen and hit the tree trunk.

The emergency services arrived , they all wore Hazmat Suit's now due to the Pandemic they'd named RAGE .
Marion had been partially conscious and informed them what happened to her daughter and that her husband was infected.
After a week in hospital Marion was diagnosed with Rage, they'd found that the only way to control it was to keep people partially sedated but able to use the bathroom and eat by themselves.
Unfortunately however those infected all died from a massive Aneurism and not a Heart Attack, Marion passed away three weeks later due to complications.
Amy was badly injured, not just from the crash but also from the beating her father inflicted on her. Amy was being monitored regularly every day and tested for RAGE. So far every test for Rage came back negative, which was noticed by Doctors.
The UK was the first to come up with a vaccine and it worked for about 6 months then stopped working.
The US were about 2 months behind the UK with their vaccine but the same thing happened.
What Doctors had been finding was that certain people were immune, or rather ,something in their DNA killed the parasite within hours of infection.
The CDC were frantically trying to identify the gene responsible for killing the parasite, as well of trying to find where it came from.
Amy was still unconscious 6 weeks later, Tim beat her badly around the head in the car and the crash added more injuries. Meanwhile the Family came to visit, Jack and Lou would visit but wearing masks didn't make a difference, everyone was issued with a complete type of Hazmat hood which covered the Mouth, Nose ,Eye's and Ears as the parasite was microscopic until it found a host, it would head straight for the brain, attach itself and then grow. Once it had grown to maturity it would move to lay eggs in the lungs that would cause coughing fits and they would then become airborne. Once the Parasite had done its job it would return to the brain and lay more eggs in the brain, when they hatched they were ravenous and fed on the brain causing a massive Aneurism. If the bodies were not burnt to ashes then the parasites would feed on the body and grow.
So far they'd found parasites up to 24 inches long in houses where people were living on there own. Because they were not found the parasites fed off the host.
Thousands of people were dying daily and they eventually found out where the bacteria came from.
Due to the polar Ice Caps melting, all sorts of bacteria were being defrosted from millions of years ago and this parasite was from the Dinsours and fed off them. Scientists had dated the parasite from over 65 million year's ago.

It was now two months and Amy finally started to wake up.
