Epilogue

They spent another week there and with Lilly's persuasion Amy got a check up, Doctor Evan suggested that they stop off at Hinton Hospital for an ultrasound before continuing back to Hudson.
Everything was fine for Amy and she was now four months, the Doctor and staff were the only survivors at Hinton so joined the other medical staff heading for Hudson.
They really noticed the lack of humans, but in another way they noticed the abundance of wildlife walking around.
Every so often they'd stop and look around the properties, checking for parasites and human remains, there were neither.
The wildlife had cleaned up, they checked the properties were locked up and then moved on. Every day they did this , not everywhere as there were to many houses, but going by what they'd found, nature had cleaned up over the last nine months.
They did all wonder about the state of the larger Towns and Cities, not everyone who survived would be peaceful, there would always be the less desirable and they were welcome to the cities.
Ty had been trying to find a radio station if there was one broadcasting so they could find out what was happening around the world.

Getting back to Hudson was a lot quicker this time, they'd filled up with fuel whenever they could, including all those who were following to Hudson.
When they finally arrived in town they pulled up in the main shopping Carpark. They saw four men walking towards them and it didn't look good.
Thankfully the others saw them and stayed in their own Trucks, plus they had two buses for those who lost there own vehicles.

Amy, Ty, Brad, Evan and two other men who were big bloke's and Rodeo competitors and definitely Cowboys all stood in front of the Trucks waiting for the four dudes who were trying to look hard to get to them.

"Well what we got here men, Listen good all of you, this is our Town and if we decide you can stay you abide by our rules."
"Nope, not happening, you see we've lived here since we were born. We've been away to check out the Sanctuary which was a waste of time. This is our Town and always has been, my sister owns the Diner and some of us own large Ranches here in Hudson."
"Listen here little darling, it's our town now."
"Don't little darling me, is this it, four of you."
"Our friends will be here soon from that Sanctury you didn't like, ha ha."
"Hey, don't talk to my girlfriend like that, and your friends won't be coming to help you."
"How would you know that."
Amy looked at all of them and nodded.
When the very brave but stupid men saw all the guns pointed at them all that bluster disappeared.
It also turned out that the Sanctuary they were talking about was in fact in B.C. not the one in Diamond Ridge.

After they'd sent the wannabe hard men on there way they all broke up into groups and started searching Hudson for survivors or places available as homes.
Doctor Jeff from Hudson offered to take over if they wanted to head to the Ranch, he could see Amy was Tired and the Bordens were greatful, setting off for whatever lay ahead at their Ranch.
Thankfully when they arrived home the horses had been using the Barns during the Cold weather as they'd left them open, also the pastures were left open as well. There four legged friends were pleased to see them, but there was no sign of any survivors, there were a few carcasses around of the large parasites but none were alive.
The problem now though was the warmer weather and if the bacterial infection would return after winter.
Lilly and Brad had a two bed Ranch House at the end of the Barns and told Ty and Amy to make it their home, Lilly got a big hug from Amy and so did Brad, this was her family now and soon her and Ty would have a Daughter.

Time continued and Amy got bigger, the Town had grown a little more as survivors were found. There wasn't much in the way of Military but there were some, half a dozen Canadian soldiers turned up in a Humvee with a Radio and opened up the RCMP station. They called a big meeting in the local Shopping Carpark and set up a microphone and speakers so they could update everyone on what was happening.
The Captain explained that so far from what information had been collected from around the world, that there was an estimated population of 600 million, the Pandemic had almost wiped out the Human Race. Using Military Drones they found no surviving Parasites or traces of them. They arrived and 6 months later they were gone.
The Captain informed the residents that Money was just paper and society would have to help each other for now. Food was still plentiful in large warehouses, but to be carefully of gangs.

Eventually Amy went into Labour and Ty took her to the Hospital, hours later Lyndy Borden was Born, there was a big party held in the centre of Hudson as Lyndy was the first baby to be born since the Pandemic.
Over the next few years many more baby's were born as survivors made new life's for themselves,.
Amy and Ty had three more children, and Brad and Ty took over the cattle breeding.
Amy and Lilly bred horses as they became the main mode of transport and others built carriages, going back to 1700 and 1800 designs found in the Libary.
Some of the cites burnt to the ground because of Gangs, others were Destroyed by the military to keep the peace and get rid of the wrong elements. People left the cites and ventured out into the country side finding small communities and ending up with better lives.

Amy and Ty had a wonderful family and a wonderful Life.
