"GUTS!"

Jill cried out upon seeing the man, not even concerned with the blazing forest. She ripped off a few strands of the silk that covered her, Merlin helped as well.

"He's..........alive."

Rosine growled, disbelief and irritation in her voice as she bared her teeth at the swordsman who glared at her from afar. She took two steps forward, ignoring Jill and extended her antennas forward with a smooth yet sharp motion. The fairies surrounding her began to transform into their monstrous hornet like appearance as they growled. With a mighty roar unlike any Jill has ever heard before, Rosine ordered her servants forward to attack the swordsman.

Dropping his torch, Guts grabbed DragonSlayer with both hands and swung the blade, cleaving a tree in half, one that had the cocoons hanging from it. The flaming tree fell down just as the first wave of Hornets came forward, falling onto the hornets. They screamed as they were crushed and burned alive by the intense flames. Rosine charged forward, more hornets behind her as she closed in onto the swordsman. Guts roared, lifting his blade high into the air and bringing it down as he cleaved another tree down, but missed Rosine by an inch.

"HAHAHAHA!" Rosine taunted as she flew straight towards Guts. The swordsman lifted DragonSlayer up and brought it down upon her. Rosine quickly flew away, letting the tip of the weapon stick into the ground. Guts adapted rather quickly, using the force to flip himself over and hit the ground in a roll. He dropped DragonSlayer and aimed his prosthetic before using it's cannon function to shoot a small cannon ball at the monster. Rosine quickly dodged the projectile before roaring, summoning more of her hornets. Guts stood up and grabbed DragonSlayer before walking through a wall of fire, unfazed by the heat.

"Jill, we need to get out of here." Jill snapped out of her stare, looking towards Merlin who floated beside her. "If you stay any longer, you might get caught up in the fighting."

"R-right." Jill nodded at the white haired fairy. Merlin began flying away to a safe area, Jill following behind as they avoided any falling branches. They made their way onto a small hill, overlooking the battle. Jill came to a stop and held her head, groaning as a sudden headache washed over her. She watched as Guts fought the incoming hoards of Hornets, slashing them as thou they were nothing. She watched as a hornet slowly crawled out from the burning tree that had fallen on top of it, it's lower body completely gone as it slowly began to turn back to a human child, gasping as it fought to live........only for DragonSlayer to be stabbed into the child, making blood splatter as the blade rested in the ground.

'Just for an instant.....swaying inside the flames.....' Jill thought to herself as she watched Guts wipe the blue and green blood off his face as he roared, images of a snarling hound flashing through her mind.
