Taehyung noticed Jungkook sitting in the back seat, completely focused on his phone. When Jungkook sensed Taehyung’s gaze, he flinched slightly before glaring at him.
“What do you want?” Jungkook asked, his tone defensive as he met Taehyung’s eyes.
“Get out and sit in the front,” Taehyung said calmly, his voice firm but composed.
“And now you’re telling me what to do?” Jungkook snapped, pointing a finger at him in frustration.
“If I need to, yes,” Taehyung replied, gently lowering Jungkook’s hand.
“I’m not your driver,” Taehyung added, opening the car door and gesturing for Jungkook to move to the front.
“Then why did you agree to drive me if you’re not my driver?” Jungkook asked, his tone full of suspicion.
Taehyung didn’t answer, keeping quiet as Jungkook huffed and climbed into the passenger seat.
“Only my drivers drop me off when I go somewhere,” Jungkook muttered under his breath as he adjusted his seatbelt.
Taehyung leaned casually against the car for a moment before responding, “Boyfriends and husbands drop their partners too.”
Jungkook froze, his heart skipping a beat. His head whipped toward Taehyung, his expression unreadable.
“Shut up and just drive. I don’t want to be late,” Jungkook finally said, his gaze fixed out the window, refusing to look at Taehyung.
Taehyung chuckled softly, getting into the car. The air between them was thick with unspoken tension.
“By the way, who are you meeting?” Taehyung asked after a moment, steering the car down the road.
“My friend,” Jungkook replied simply, scrolling through his phone. He was engrossed in a lively conversation, his face lighting up as he texted.
Taehyung felt a pang of jealousy as he noticed Jungkook’s smile, his heart twisting slightly. “Who are you chatting with for so long?” Taehyung asked, his voice tinged with irritation despite his attempt to sound casual.
